Take the WAX at the O level. This will take you downtown in about 26 minutes.

Ok so WAX is the name of the bus correct? Not like the 108 or 109 correct?

Correct. The name of the bus is the WAX (Westcliff Airport Express). Be sure you get on the WAX that's going Northbound.
You can grab the WAX at either Terminal 1 or Terminal 3.
If your flight arrives at Terminal 3, you can take either the WAX Northbound or the CX (Centennial Express) Northbound.

    WAX Schedule
    CX Schedule

As others have mentioned, the downtown stop is at the intersection of 4th and Carson. Directly across the street from The D. The stop immediately before this stop is called 4th at Lewis. You will hear the stops announced while on the bus.

If you're going back to the airport from downtown, the WAX will pick you up at Fremont St @ Casino Center (right next to Binion's).

The fare for a one-way trip on either the WAX or the CX is $2. You can pay cash on the bus, but you'll need exact change.

Its a bit confusing when you get out out the terminal and are looking at the bus stop.

You will a couple other busses come and go but get on the WAX.

The others will go downtown but only to the bonneville transit center and then you will need to catch another one from there and its confusing.

the trick is if you ask the diver if the bus goes downtown, he will say yes as the bonneville transit center is technically downtown. You have to ask if it goes to Fremont street.

No need to really worry about this as you are only getting on the WAX bus anyway. you put bills into the hopper thing by the driver and take your seat. lots of room for luggage.

Another tip is not to listen to advice that others on the bus stop will give you as they will without fail, lead you astray. I dont know why this is but it seems to always happen in vegas like they derive some twisted pleasure out of giving people wrong directions.

WAX bus. just get off when everyone else does on Fremont or ask the driver.

Go to the rtc transit site, it will have the schedule of arrival/departure times, it's much easier than asking 20 questions here.

    Unfortunately, no it doesn't.
Fist stop is 6am, and the last is 11:20pm.

If you get there after that, then you'll need to take the 108 north, bad thing is it doesn't stop at Fremont. So, you'd have to hike to Fremont, and that area can be kind of shady at night.

Did you manage to spend the 5 min to check out the bus schedules for yourself? if you need someone to tell you to give it a try, I'll do it... give it a try ... and then help the next guy that's never done it.

I have always like that it drop's off at the Walgreen's. I can make my Gateraid/Pedialight/Snack run, check in, then get to being a degenerate. Don't have to leave the hotel, then go back.

And, I've always had pretty good luck with catching it at the airport. I think the most I had to wait was about 20min. Gave me time to smoke a couple of cigs, and update my trip report.
