    Hi all

Thinking of going to see criss Angel show in august, however there seems to be a lot of negative reviews. Has anyone seen it? Is it worth going too?

    Thanks all

    Chris

Unless you're being paid 4 figured to attend, I wouldn't do it.

I received free tickets 2 or 3 years ago. Went with my brother - I read the negative reviews, and talked to people who said it was bad - it is. (My brother really wanted to go though). Home movies and pictures of him talking about himself, with magic tricks you've seen a million times. Went to Legends in Concert and had a much better time. Don't be fooled by the neat looking ads for it

Angel should do his own show, a standard magic show. He's actually very good, very talented. But this particular show isn't good.

You will get the same thing here as in the reviews. If you scan down through the posts or search on Angel you will find more of the same.

If you are going to go, buy the cheapest seat they have. The show doesn't sell out so they move people from the back to the front. We did that last year and ended up in the second row. The show is a bit on the corny side. Not much magic, just a lot of story telling.

The reviews on Tripadvisor are not that bad, an average of 3 out of 5 stars. Some people enjoy it.

Just tear up money and stick knitting needles in your eyes - you'll come out ahead on the deal!

Some of that depends on what other shows you may have seen. If you have seen limited shows then you might like this one. If you've seen a few others you probably won't.

My friend and his girlfriend stayed at the Luxor last year. While walking thru the casino they were approached and given free tickets to the show. They went and said it was half empty, stayed only half an hour because it sucked so bad. They said it was a waste of time.

When your worth $50 Million then maybe you just don't care about the show so much. He use to be pretty good and interesting.

I wonder why they haven't tried to change the format or something. Is it a contractual thing? I would imagine that they (being Criss Angel and his managers, etc.) got wind of how disappointed the public is with the show.

I agree that he is an interesting and skilled, talented fellow. Does he really don't care or is his hands tied to this show deal.

There's probably a contract with Cirque. I've seen him perform on his own and he was very entertaining.

His reviews sucked almost from day 1, I am actually surprised that his show is still running for all these years.

Yup, you could give me free tickets and I wouldn't go to it. I might consider going (with free tickets) if I ran out of money and had time to burn. ha ha, so the big questions is.....would you rather go see him or go to a timeshare presentation? Both I consider painful.

This is the only Cirque du Soleil show I don't recommend. It's amazing it's still open - with attendance down and the negative reviews. You'd think they'd revamp it or make some changes to make it more competitive.

As noted by others, it's probably a contractual thing with Cirque du Soleil that keeps it going. But, having said that, Cirque du Soleil has thrown in the towel on other shows that had better attendance. I assume the operational costs must be low enough to keep it profitable.
