I had a miserable five day trip (from my wallet's perspective..) but being early for my flight and having a $20 ready for consumption in a random penny machine...

    $2023.38 hand pay

Holy cow. Airport slots are tighter than tight. I've never heard of anyone with a nice payout. Fantastic!

I usually do not play much at the airport...after donating it all to the hotel of the week.

BUT - one of things I worry about is getting a handpay, and the possible delay in getting paid, then missing my flight. What is the process and how long does it take there?

I was actually surprised. They had to call the slot supervisor who was in an office onsite. He came in 10 minutes. After giving two forms of ID (I guess since they don't use players cards... I gave my drivers and license to carry) he left. About 10 minutes later they were counting the Benjamins out in my hand. I gave the slot attendant one of them as a tip. Prior to the hit my $20 had run up to $141 so his machine was on a roll. Kid is just starting a career.

He did mention they run into people with 5 minutes to catch a plane. They take the info and Mail a check. Not sure how they handle non-US though. I'd like to know that!

That's the first money I've dropped there in four or five years. Just a hunch today.

"Hey, you never know." That's actually the slogan of the NY Lottery...:evillaugh

Interesting thought. Only time I recall ever getting back to back four of kinds was at McCarran.

Nice recovery piggylane! Looking at the other pics...there is a Wizard of Odds game with 7 reels now??? Jeez.

Fantastic! I had a $500 hit on WOF while waiting on a flight after a tough trip. It wasn't great but it let me know the gambling gods can be merciful. You never know!

Congrats! A friend of mine hit a handpay at the airport a few years back when we held my 50th in Vegas and won back everything she'd lost. Til now, she was the only person I had heard of getting a good airport hit.

My uncle supposedly hit a nice handpay jackpot on the airport slots right after he got off his plane coming into town. He skipped any more gambling on his trip and took it all home with him. This was years ago when the airport slots were probably even tighter than they are today.
