From another thread, decided to start this thread so everyone can post bad experiences with certain sites and to help others to know where to actually sign up if they do not have a good local.

    I will start:

Bovada/bodog because of bad lines, cutting off players and slow/no paying players.

Hope this thread helps everyone on this site to know where to play

I have really curtailed my online betting because I am always nervous about getting stuck out for my cash or getting flagged when I send cash via WU or MG

FiveDImes is the best IMO for US players.

I agree with you on Bovada. However you can find some tasty lines there if you're playing 'dogs...they really pump up the juice and lines on faves. 5D and Bovada are the only two that I have used recently. I used one waaaaay back in the day called BetOnline or something like that and they were awful.

SportsBookReview site is good for checking out the ratings of books although they can be swayed sometimes in their ratings because of relationships they have with some books.

lol I just read your reply on there and we're definitely on the same page.

the most I will keep in my account is $1k...as soon as I get over that I will make a withdrawal. And that amount is only in there during football season. Right now I have about $200 and I haven't played on that in awhile. I may start working that up just to see if I can pad my Vegas bankroll a bit

you have to be very leery of books that pop up as football season comes near handing out too good to be true offers and bonuses

Bovada deals dual lines and they don't hide the fact they do it. If you are profiled as a winner and you look at the lines before signing in you will see different lines after you sign in.

Very true, a lot of books actually closed up after getting player deposits and then everyone was SOL. Bet phoenix is also a book either getting ready to go down or is already gone lol. Oddsmaker was another one that used to have to good to be true bonuses and not sure if they are still around.

True, and they are also known at giving different lines to different players. For instance, we both login at the same time, you would have a different line than I would.

    I used to use sportsbook.ag.

I had them send me a check that bounced once from a closed account. When I called and advised them of this, they credited my account for the full amount plus the fees I incurred for the bounced check.

I went through the process of making a withdrawal again and the second time everything worked out fine.

I've since moved on to a local guy.

I've used Intertops for over 15 years and never had an issue. Because I suck at picking games, I mostly deposit money. But when the Packers won the NFC and SB in 2010 I had them both for future bets and cashed out about 3k. Direct wire deposit to my MM Fund under some non-descriptive name, on the same day I requested it.

I only use them for the sportsbook, so I have no opinion about their on-line casino.

BTW, credit card deposits are easy and no foreign transactions fees. Again, it is billed to some non-descriptive company.

I use bodog/bovada I agree the lines on the favourites are usually low paying, but if you ever are taking the underdog you can cash in!

As for the payouts, yes they are hard to get. But after you go through all the process one time it gets easier.

Just don't make the mistake of being impatient and lose your whole bankroll while waiting for your payout to be approved!

Even tho Bovada's line kind of sucks. I like their service. Quick withdraw straight back to the account I used my card to deposit into Bovada is always a plus. (I hate dealing with checks, etc)

plus 1 for using bovada... I am new to sports betting online but with all the upsets in the nhl and nfl these days you can do pretty decent if you consistently bet the underdog in the moneyline. but as others have said they bump up the lines on the favorite ( i don't see that as a bad thing) because i would just bet the underdog then if i thought the favorite was too high.

Funny...ESB was my first offshore too. Picked them out of a magazine that rated all the top books and they were #1. Soon learned that the books write those magazines and essentially rate themselves.

I was at BetPhoenix for awhile and didn't have any issues...they stopped taking credit card deposits so I moved on although they still call me about twice per year.

Funny...my first offshore was ESB...read about them in a magazine where they were the "top rated sportsbook." Soon found out that whoever were the advertisers in the various sports related magazines were also the top rated book...live and learn.

I was at BetPhoenix for awhile...no issues. They stopped taking credit card deposits so I moved on...they still call me about twice per year.
