From what I've heard from dealers at a couple of CET properties, it doesn't matter what shift you are on. Tips over the day are split.

Yea it's always split over all workers that day.

What really matters is the area you work.

Shifter, does that mean that all BJ dealers for that day only split their tips with other BJ dealers? Same for craps, roulette and carny games? Also curious to HL rooms. Do the HL BJ dealers split their tips with the rest of the BJ dealers on the main floor? Thanks....

It depends on the casino, but often craps is separate from other table games. High limit and VIP dealers are usually separate from dealers on the floor (for all games). Poker dealers keep their tips, except for tournaments - those are spilt. Sports book writers used to keep theirs, but most pool them now.

Only the best of the best deal HL/VIP. You need to be flawless and discreet. Craps requires more skill and they too are compensated for their efforts, which is why they are typically separate from other table games.
