I should note that in the spirit of PayTriple there is ONE organ whose functionality I hope remains intact!

Be careful what you wish for. I had dieted for months before my first trip in the mid nineties. I was only 24 at the time. After 4 days of binge drinking, eating and barely sleeping I came home needing another vacation. Lo and behold 2 nights later I woke in the middle of the night with terrible abdominal pains. Had my gall bladder removed a few days later.

Ha! Good point because I have a history of jinxing myself.

Case in point; one year I was pining for the NFL season to begin. So badly that I made an offhand remark about wanting to go into a coma and awaken on opening day. Wanna guess what happened? :ssst:

On the plane. Sitting next to some wonderful older gals. Of course if they saw me posting this calling them "older" they might decide to be a bit less cool...

Goooood luck! I'm sure we on the VMB could help out with some organ donations if need be.

And when I read your screen name I hear Jackie Chan's voice when Chris Tucker is trying to teach him to say "y'all" in Rush Hour lol

Early night. Liver still seems to be mostly whole.

$75 MyVegas reward at Tender worked out well. Had the Kobe A5 Wagyu ribeye. In hindsight the filet might have been the better option. More to come (including pics) when I wake up in a few hours and go to the hash house.

Up on BJ, but down on craps. Call it even for now....

The grade A5 Kobe Wagyu ribeye, deep fried baked potato wedges, and a glass of 2006 something or other at Tender last night. Steak was delicious but next time I'd try the filet.

There is also some ghost pepper sauce on the side (and before you ask, no I absolutely did not put that on such a good steak, it was for after) which the waiter warned me about. I remarked that I was from Buffalo and he didn't have anything in the kitchen that I couldn't handle. He even came by to watch me try it and see my reaction. Much to his dismay, it barely registered as a blip on my heat index.

    Good start so far!

What did you think about the potato wedges? We almost ordered those when we went...

They were great. Had some bacon and Parmesan on them. Paired nicely with the pepper sauce.

I grew up in Bflo and my first several trips to Vegas were out of that airport. Because I'm a Buffalonian, I'm incredibly provincial and hereby assume that you are a phenomenal person based purely on the face that you're from Western New York, and I am now rooting for you to win $17.3 billion on this trip. Upstage Pegula, bro.

    Will post more pics later, but just an update from the last 24 or so;

Spent yesterday playing craps at Casino Royale for a while, up 160 there. Also played a fair amount of BJ at various strip locations. Volatile to say the least, but mostly even.

Lunch and beers at the Yardhouse (best tacos ever) and then headed to Fremont.

At a sammich at the Claim Jumper (decent food but spotty service). Met my old army buddy from my Korea days and we hit up the Laundry Room at the Commonwealth. Delicious cocktails and unique atmosphere.

From there it was general debauchery on Fremont. Drank our faces off but got crushed on BJ at the Gold spike. Taught my friend how to play. He won about 40 and I lost about 400. I played well in spite of my complete lack of sobriety, but was betting aggressively and it didn't work in my favor. Got back to Flamingo at about 4am.

Today, met my buddy and his friends at the Orleans for a birthday brunch which we just finished. Right before I pulled 50 off the BJ dealer and another 150 from the Buffalo slots. Gonna get the rest of that 400 back now...

Good luck. Get double that $400 back. Sounds like you've had a fun start.

Ran into Frankie Scinta at The D (know him from back in the 90's when The Scintas were the house act at Bonnie Castle Resort in the Thousand Islands).
