Booked flights this morning. Arriving the 22nd and leaving the 25th.
What are the crowds like? I can't ever recall going Memorial weekend.

From what I understand, a lot of people drive in from
Cali and surrounding areas. It's the kickoff weekend for the summer. Big name
DJ's draw crowds at the pools and clubs.

I've been for St Patricks and March Madness many times. Just wondered if the crowds would be
similar to that. Wife and I aren't into the clubs and pools so much. Just wondered if casino
floors would just be completely packed.

Like you, I'm not a club or pool party guy. So the place I notice the crowds the most is the restaurants/bars and the cab lines. Late afternoon when the pool parties are letting out, the cab lines are ridiculous. And you probably ought to make reservations if you're planning on eating at any popular restaurant.

The casino floor will be noticeably busier than usual. But nothing like the pools, clubs, restaurants, cab lines.

Don't forget hot. I usually use Memorial Day as the start of the high 90's and 100 degree temps for the next 3 months.

I usually avoid vegas by that time, too crowded and prices for hotels and rental cars go up. I don't mind the pool parties or clubs and I may check them out from afar I never go into the pool areas by that time.

We will be there the same time for my bachelor party. I booked Ruth's Chris for that Saturday over a month ago, and they only had a few times left. Yea I know Ruth's Chris, but I have $400 in gift cards from cc rewards, and we are staying at harrahs

The current forecasts look very pleasant for that weekend. High of 81 and sunny for Friday the 22nd. Hope they're right!

It's going to be 71 degrees where I am. Casino floors usually don't get extremely warm. :evillaugh

I find some areas of casino floors to be very warm. I notice (especially in the summer) that the casino is humid.....the chips stick together.

I've noticed this a lot more in the past year or two. I wonder if it is cost cutting or some sort of "green initiative". (Probably the former under the guise of the latter.)

We're flying in on Monday and I expect the airport to be hectic. First time staying near Memorial Day and hopefully most people will be leaving on Monday. We were surprised how reasonable the prices for the flight and hotel was for these dates (May 25-28th).

Yup, you can never tell about temps in vegas. Once I was in vegas in October and it was over 115!
