Hi! Question: are there any casino's in Vegas that offer High Card Flush. If so, has anyone ever played it and how did you like it? I played a bit online (free) and it seems like a losing game.. Am I wrong, or..? Thanks!
On the strip, pretty much all CET properties have the game. It is fun, and yes, it is a losing game...as with all the other games you will encounter in the casino. I like it a lot and will play it, but only in short spurts...once a hot streak is done...run!
My favorite game. It is at all the harrah's properties and I saw it at several places downtown. Not sure about other strip casinos. Very streaky but I see a lot of good hands. Got a seven card flush with $15 bet for $4,500 at the Linq last fall. Have also gotten 6 twice and seen other players get 6 a bunch of times. Great game!
It's all over the place, on the strip and downtown. Lots of $5 games downtown. It's a fun game. I love the straight flush bet; I seem to get enough of them to keep playing for a long time. Two trips ago I caught a six card straight flush for a mondo payoff. Have fun and let's us know how you do!!
With the side bets it's a pretty swingy game. Also if you play remember to make the biggest bet allowed on any 3 card flush T-8-6 or higher and any larger flushes. http://wizardofodds.com/games/high-card-flush/
Haha, I will remember to run Thanks! - - - Updated - - - Wow, great wins!!! I think I will try it once, next summer.
I will let you know! I have to wait two months before I can go and play though... bummer. Good to know there are a lot of $5 games downtown. Will definitely go check them out.
I will read the Wizard of Odds link you gave me, thanks. I kinda like that dude.. His video's are a bit boring but a weird kind of relaxing to watch, LOL
You won't have to go downtown to play this at $5. Bally's, The Linq and Flamingo all have this game at $5 almost all the time. I have never seen it higher than $5 at those three places. Planet Hollywood and Paris sometimes get bumped to $10 during busy times.
High Card Flush is my new favorite game. I love it (when I am winning of course). You would think it is easy to get at least a three card flush out of seven cards but 2-2-2-1 comes up a lot or a low (less that 9 high) three card flush. You see some great Pai Gow hands on the High Card Flush Table. You know it's a bad hand when you see three or more of the same cards. I've hit some good hands and I have also lost a lot of money. It's good to hit and run if you can. I hit a 7 card flush with a 5 card straight flush in it that paid great. I bet $30 to $50 on the 4 card bet and $25 on the straight flush bet. A lot of money can be lost if the cards aren't coming with the large bets but one good hit (IF you get one) puts you back in the game. Several 5 or 6 card flushes keeps me playing a while. Most all the CE sites have it but if it's shut down they don't open it till around 11 AM give or take each day. I like to play very early so I usually can't catch a game early unless it has not been shut down from the night before. The minute the table gets empty late they lock it down. It's like any other game you have to get the cards. It's fun though. Can't wait to play when I arrive next week.
I feel just like Rose about this CARNIVAL game. It's a lot of fun and yes if you bet like Rose, you can win BIG however my whole BR would be gone when those long losing streaks come. I seem to lose quite a bit when I'm playing usually at the $10-15 level so beware... but if/ when one of those big one's hit, the pit critters take notice. I think the top winning hand is like 8000 to one!
You are right there can be some long losing streaks. I have seen a day or so go by without any big hands. It is an easy game for beginners if they can forget about trips, full houses etc.
I would say it's a bit more fun than three card poker, but was kind of boring to me the second time I played it. My second time was a $5 game at Caesars, didn't hit any bonus hands (while the dealer was getting big flushes and straight flushes) and was just bleeding dry... The first time I played it at my local casino and had a lot of fun because I won most of my hands! Might play it again sometime, but I find other carnival games are more entertaining.
It can be quite boring and aggravating when not winning. Although I love the game I tend to move around to all of the other carnival games except LIR. I used to love LIR now it's so slow I want to commit suicide.
I played last month on a cruise ship. All the other games on the ship stink except BJ, so I ended up playing this while getting free drinks. I played about 5 hrs per day for 6 days. During that time, the best hand I had was a 3 card straight flush (about 8 times), a 4 card flush (many times), and 50-60 drinks . No big payouts at all. Playing 15/5/5 I lost $3,000 in that time and found it to be pretty darn boring except for the drinks and our use of the table as a private bar.
Wait, you are saying that you played for roughly 30 hours and never even saw so much as a 5 card flush?!? Man I'm not a mathmetician, but the odds on that must be astronomical!
Forgot to mention in my first post, I especially like the feature in this game where the cards are dealt on all the spots regardless if there is a player there. This way you never will have a person come sit down next to you and get "your" cards and win. Every spot for all six spots will get dealt seven cards every round of play where in 3 card poker and let it ride, cards are dealt only to the spots where there are players.
That is correct. But, it is probably some of me too. I have been on the most unlucky streak in human history since 2006. Imagine playing blackjack for 18 hours over 3 days in Vegas and never getting a Blackjack. Dealers were saying "unbelieveable". I was saying "normal". Back to High card flush.....
