Do they have any free entertainment during the week? We're going to be visiting Fremont Street Experience on a weeknight.

Most stages have something going on during the week. Just not normally really big names, but still good music most of the time.

That's a good lineup! Smithereens, Kansas, BOC! :)

I saw KC and the Sunshine Band at a local benefit gig here maybe 10 years ago. KC has to be older than I am. I'm surprised he's still goin to it.

"Cherry Poppin Daddies" has a very creepy vibe to it! :(

Not a real great line up this year. The hard rock pool concert series is much better IMO.

I was downtown last week Monday night and they had a band on one stage and a DJ on another stage. Nothing great but not bad either.

Anyone know how early one should lineup or whatever for the free concerts? Never tried to go to one that was actually popular (booked for Kansas and BOC). Last few times they were just giving wrist bands away to people to try and fill them up. Don't imagine they will have that problem for this one... any tips?

I've never seen a line or any other formality at FSE downtown. Sometimes the crowd can fill the entire intersection between 4Q and D. It's always been FCFS and everyone for him/herself. No seats. Standing only.

I meant, how early does it fill up? Show starts at 9pm, but do people start standing around at 2pm? or worse?

They don't even let you in the area until an hour (maybe 90 minutes) before the concert. Until that time, its all barricaded off. They do have an area in front of the stage for VIPs only, so talk to host at any Fremont Street property and see what they can do for you.

I wonder if they're trying to finalize a "bigger" name for July 4th and that's why they don't have anything posted? I know that's not quite the biggest holiday in Vegas that it is elsewhere, but still, it's a Summer Saturday and they should have something.....Nothing on facebook yet either.

Quick question, hopefully for those who have done this both ways:

For a show on the 1st Street stage, should I do the VIP area or grab a good patio table at Gold-Diggers?
I figure 45 minutes or so for the show (opening act), so 2 or 3 drinks at GoldDiggers - but a seat!
Versus being close to the stage, but no seating and no easy-access to a bar.

    Thoughts? Opinions?

    Another Question.
Staying at Fremont on day of Kansas concert. 3rd street stage. Where would a good bar spot be to see/hear it. Don't want to stand in the crowd
