VegasChic & Sis road trip to Northern Washington- Handpay pic porn!!

Every year my sis and I take my mom and her friend on a shopping & gambling trip for Mothers Day, we've been doing it about 20 years now. Although I hadn't planned to do a report at all, we had some great hits this trip I thought some might enjoy hearing about - so I only took pics of the slot wins and nothing else.

Quick summary-

For the first time in 20 years, my moms best friend was unable to take the trip due to illness. At the last minute, my dad decided he would join us, so our annual Mother's Day trip turned into a Mother's and Father's Day trip. It was really kinda fun, haven't travelled with just my family like that in likely 25 years.

Driving from the Vancouver area, we used to go into Seattle and hit Pike's place market, shop Bellevue square and cover quite a bit of ground over our three days. With mobility issues setting in for some in our group, we kept to a very easy schedule with mostly hanging at our hotels in the evening and some shopping during the day. Yes, I bought more shoes.

Sis and I are headed to Vegas in a few weeks, so wanted to try and keep the play a wee bit lighter so as not to blow all our $$ before Vegas. In vegas, we start playing slots at about $5 per spin and adjust as needed to our bankroll. This trip our strategy was to play at $2-3 per spin and just try and get our money to last without hitting an ATM.

The first night we stayed at Silver Reef Hotel and Casino. It's maybe a 15 minute drive once you cross through the border into the U.S. It's a NA casino that has been constantly expanding over the last few years, adding on a conference Center, and now is adding on an extra tower of rooms. I'd say it's on the smaller side, not upscale, but very comfy. We've never won anything on our trips here, so we were quite surprised when on just our second $100 going into the machine's for the trip, we hit a Handpay -yay!! Unfortunately as Canadians we get the 30% tax hit - will have to claim next year- boo!

 

Later the same night, we had another great hit, this time on 100 lions- best part- short of a Handpay, no taxes!!!!

 

After a great night at Silver Reef, we checked out to head further South. We made it about 30 miles down the road before we made a pit stop at another casino called Skagit. We gave ourselves a one hour time limit and much to our surprise, hit a machine that gave some great pays, but not all in one spin, so again, didn't trigger a Handpay for taxes....YAY!

 

After an hour, we take our money and run! We make it another 30 miles to our next destination. Normally we stay at Tulalip hotel & Casino, but all the rooms were oddly sold out months in advance. We ended up deciding to stay at a little place that touts itself as the friendliest casino and has only just added a hotel in the last year called Angel of the Winds. After check-in, we were only playing a short bit before we hit this!

The next morning we checked out, spent a full day shopping, then headed back to Silver Reef for our last night. At this point we started giving back some of the up money we had managed to hang on to so called it very early in the evening. As we were heading back to Vancouver early in the morning, we were up bright and early to give it one last bit of play. We were down a few hundred more when we managed to get it all back with another Handpay! This was by far our luckiest trip. All of last year we had one Handpay, this trip we had 3 in three days!!

The trip was a ton of fun, spent lots of time with our parents, we made some money , and, I have more shoes! I'm now 2-0 for gambling trips this year and shooting for a third win in Vegas, just a few short weeks away! Fingers crossed that the third times a charm (thinking of our HL slot pull coming up!)

Great wins! I have been to all of the casinos you mentioned except Angel of the Winds. I see lots of advertising from it.How does it compare to Tualip and Skagit?
