Haters? I don't know that the opposition to some is daylight v. standard, simply the twice-a-year switch. I'd love to keep the "extra" time at the useable end of the day and then just lock it down.

Bad phrasing on my part. For all the people who hate the twice a year change. For us and a winter trip, it'll only be a one hour time change. East coast only two hours. There goes that excuse for being in bed at midnight. :evillaugh

Changing the dozen or more clocks isn't the problem... I personally do not like it to still be light outside after 8pm!

And I'm just the opposite. Morning darkness rocks, evening light is even better.

Does anybody really know what time it is?

    Does anybody really care?

    About time.

If so, I can't imagine why.

We've all got time enough to cry.

The most fundamental question is: why does time exist?

To keep everything from happening all at once...

I like three hour time change when I go. Gives me that extra few hours when I get there. Sure I lose it on the way home, but I almost always take the redeye anyways so it's a blur

Not sure but, it's off of the CTA album. One of my fave songs when in the Air Force 1971. Good tune. Daylight savings time. Who cares?

So funny....I read the Reno paper faithfully every morning and I can't even remember this issue getting any print time. Lots of print time for the proposed tax increases, Uber issues and incessant publication of Tesla info, but nothing about this in the local paper. LOL Guess northern Nevada just doesn't care!

The article says Nevada has to check in with the Congress about it. I can't see any opposition there, considering Hawaii and Arizona don't change either.

The big difference is they want to "spring ahead" and then stay there. So they would be mountain time, not pacific.

That's my issue with it as well. There's already a mismatch when AZ does not change but UT does - as I have family in both. If NV sticks with one time, great - but I'd prefer UT match that.

A fun factoid: Wendover Nevada is not on Pacific Time, it's on Mountain Time. The city of Wendover caters mostly to Utahans. As a result, the time zone lines were moved around the city to keep Wendover on Utah's time schedule.

Checking a time zone map, some other areas do the same (Gary, IN is in Chicago's Central Time Zone, while almost all of the rest of Indiana is in Eastern Time). El Paso is in the Mountain Time Zone with New Mexico, as it is basically southern New Mexico anyway.

One of the smartest legislative actions I've heard about in some time! :)

The stupid Spring Ahead has me jetlagged for a week!
