My girlfriend has been in Vegas yesterday and leaves Monday night. Worst feeling knowing she's there while I'm stuck at home working. I'm not mad that she's there without me, I've booked a trip without her in July and 3 of my last 4 trips before this next one were with buddies and she wasn't invited. She deserves the trip and deserves to have fun! It just makes me sad when she talks about hotels / casinos / places that I love and wish I was at. It's also frustrating that most of the texts I've gotten from her are complaints about what the other girls she's with are doing and how they are not doing much of anything because nobody can agree on anything. I hate people who go to Vegas and don't enjoy it. I went to Vegas last month, but even a day away from that heavenly place is too much! She better bring me back a good souvenir haha

Anyone else go through something similar? July can't come soon enough. Every picture she posts and text I get just makes me miss the place more.

"You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say..." Could be an even worse feeling.

When I feel that way I tell myself how lucky I am to at least be able to go. The time will come. Just take it a day at a time.

Once in a while I think about those who want to go but cannot for various reasons: family, illness, financial, etc. I try to imagine how they must be feeling.

Then it makes the wait a little more tolerable.

Worse feeling? Two days left and no bankroll.

Losing the bankroll before rest of the crew even arrives in Vegas. Had this happen once and needed to negotiate with my wife (not in Vegas) to take out more $$. Was able to nurse the extra money and make a small comeback, but was much more gun shy than normal which isn't a fun way to gamble

My worst feeling that I can't get over is when I'm waiting for my trip date and someone I know goes to Vegas 2 or 3 times before I get to go.....

    I hate that.

Wife and I always go to Vegas together. One has never been without the other. It would probably feel weird to go without her.

    This
    - for whatever the reason... that's a horrible feeling - to be betting scared.
I can go down to $5 bets when a table goes cold (read: very negative count), and not feel like i'm betting scared at all.
But if I've lost half my bankroll on the first day? I quit gambling for the day, rather than bet scared for the rest of the day.
Fortunately, I've never lost my entire bankroll on the first day - but some of my buddies have...it's not pretty.
When that happens, I typically lend them a few hundred (assuming I'm doing ok) to get them through... but I tell them that they can only bet $5s & $10s - otherwise, the 'topcard ATM' will be "out-of-service" for the rest of the trip.

I've never lost my entire bankroll in a day but I've lost more than half of it on day one of a four/five day trip. Just once I'd love to have a significant win on day one, giving me more flexibility the rest of the trip. Make some crazy bets, rather than playing it more safe!

That's seems so odd to me, as the vast majority of my trips, I win on day-one... it's day two that usually kicks my ass. (Day three is usually a win...the only question is how much did it make up for the day two loss!)
