I saw the thread on "Bet you regret making or not making" and thought I'd ask the opposite ( and more positive ) question.

So what bet or decision in gambling are you most glad you made?

Mine was a decision to "take a risk" and sit down at a $100 BJ table at the Mirage one night.

I normally stick to $5 or $10 tables as I like to play long sessions and obviously don't like the much bigger swings and bankroll needed to play bigger minimum tables. But I had done really well at sports betting that Sat ( basketball and golf ) and decided on a lark to sit down at a bigger table for a few hands. Won a little early which kept me in the game and eventually went on a monster streak and cashed out $6700 ahead. Never had anything near it before or since. Great day though! Can't talk about what I blew most of it on in a public forum. LOL

Last years Belmont Stakes, bumped California chrome out of my exacta and trifecta boxes at the last minutes and bumped the trifecta to. $2 box. With win bet on Tonalist I cashed over $7000, if only I knew what I was doing.
