    Hi All,

I've been lurking around these forums for quite some time, and appreciate all of the valuable information which is posted on a regular basis.

I have a gold card at Cosmopolitan (and also mLife, but that's not the point of my post), and recently stayed there for 7 nights in a Terrace 1 Bedroom Suite with premium view. In the end, all of the hotel nights were comped by my host, as well as all meals that I charged to the room.

I play almost all slots and video poker. Bad odds on slots of course, but strangely I win more often on slots than blackjack, despite knowing/executing basic strategy by the book. I'm curious how my slot/video poker numbers stack up in your opinion. On the last trip, I had just over $43,000 coin in over the 7 days/nights, and was rated at 17 hrs on slots (as per the Identity desk). Not sure how they come up with that hourly figure, but the reality is that we spent most days and nights in their casino gambling, so it seems too low. In the end, I was down $2,600.00.

What level of comp would you expect at this play level? I'm trying to determine if I should have asked my host for more.

    Thanks!

    Wow you scored with that.

That kind of coin in should hardly get you a couple nights in a terrace.

That's odd, the numbers Identity gave me must not be calculated correctly then... as my host emphasized that my slot play was very strong on this trip. Again, we spent massive amounts of time each day in the casino (probably 8+ hours), and I was playing fast at max bet on every machine I sat at - mixed denomination machines. VP play was always max bet at $1.00 most of the time, and $0.50 once in a while, for extended periods of time. The gold card was earned over 2 trips, if that means anything to you.

And I've stayed there plenty of times in the past with lower play and had no problems with having my room comped. Usually on a marketing offer though...

It's all about coin-in and theo (and losses), not time played.

$43k over 7 nights is a healthy amount. Figure about $600 a day in theo on $1 slots. You were comped well, and your loss wasn't bad.

Same here. I stay on marketing offers and they keep sending me more. My theo isn't high enough for the rooms to be comped upfront without a marketing offer but they keep sending me free nights. I'll give them my play I they're offering.

Yeah I get the marketing offers. I use them and exhaust my identity points on the backend... considering the rack rates at cosmo I think it is over generous.

I take a part of that back... I did get an upfront comp for 1 night with a late checkout of 4pm my first visit to cosmo. When I had a host (identity used to assign one to all memebers.) She was awesome to me, gave me a premium view terrace studio. We had a bad experience at flamingo and called her. But she is gone now and now I just use the marketing offers.

How recent is your latest offer? Several here have reported promo chips and free play going away. My promo chips evaporated.

    Promo chips are gone.

Slot free play is still alive and well.

I sat next to someone using about $400 in promo chips on Saturday morning.

Correct I've still gotten promos recently also.

But they've eliminated the offers with promos. Easy street.

You have to get special approval now.
