On my previous trips to Vegas for the last several years I have really enjoyed playing Black Jack in the Deuce Lounge at the Aria. I know that Black Jack is no longer available in the Deuce. Does anyone have any recommendations of other lounges or rooms with a similar feel to the Deuce for Black Jack? Thanks in advance!

    I'll second Whiskey Down.

But in MGM's continued spiral downwards they are down to just 3 tables in there. Nonetheless still the vibe you are probably looking for.

In my opinion the normal high limit room at Aria has that vibe somewhat as well. On busier nights the music is pretty loud and I always see a decent number of people just hanging out in the lounge and bar area there. Probably more than are at the tables.

Wow, when did they cut the tables? I am staying there next week and had planned to play some in there

I don't know exactly when but a couple of months at least. I first got a message from paperposter about it in early March.

Yeah, I guess February was the last time I was there and I think I remember seeing six tables then. Hope they kept at least one of the double deck tables

Maybe scratch what I wrote earlier. Just got another message from paper that a couple weeks ago he saw it was back to six tables. He said they keep moving things around in there.

I will probably be in Whiskey Down next weekend until it gets too crowded. Nice vibe in there.

Maybe some tables were taken out for an event. Or maybe there was too much whiskey for him to get an accurate count, lol. Either way, I will find out in a couple days

I'm hoping to head up to MGM today or tomorrow and can report back, too.

Thanks for the info. I will have to check out Whiskey Down. I assume they have a nice selection of spirits given the name . . .

What about Bond Bar at Cosmo? I never played the tables there - just VP. Place gets hopping and lots of eye candy. Heard the table rules not the best though...

I need to check out Cosmo in general. Never stepped foot in there. That will change here shortly. I'll check out the Bond area. Hopefully no 6:5 BS at the very least.

Cosmo is worth checking out if you have not been there. But know that the Bond Bar is, IMO, not really comparable to the Deuce. Bond Bar is more akin to a party pit. And last time I checked, all the BJ tables there were 6:5. granted, I last checked in December and Cosmo has made some gambling changes for the better since then. Don't know if they improved the odds in that area.

Whisky down is a great place to play (that's where I played with the bj dealer from under cover boss). They have both DD and shoe games. From what I remember, the minimum was $100 but this was last year during MDW. Awesome atmosphere.
