Live/semi-live Trip Report 4/20-4/24 (Mandalay Bay)

I am leaving today and coming back on Friday 4/24. I am going to Vegas for a conference at Mandalay Bay. This will be the second of 3 trips this year; my previous was for a conference in February at Bellagio, the next will be in October or November for leisure.

This is the first time I am staying at Mandalay Bay. I should get in about 10:20 AM.
I paid $20 for early check-in so I can go straight to the hotel. Once I get settled, I plan on making my regular quest to John Mulls Roadkill Grill to get some BBQ.

I am redeeming 2 MyVegas rewards. Since I am on a business trip and solo, the shows and food are useless, so I am doing $25 freeplay and chocolate tasting w/ 20% off at Hexx chocolate.

I am not a High Roller, will probably play mostly poker tournaments when possible, some video poker and maybe some slots. If I have some money left, I may play blackjack.

I did online checkin and wanted to use the bag drop counter, but they closed it as soon as I walked up. Luckily the regular usair (AA) counter was empty. Security was also the emptiest I have seen it in a while and got through there in about 5 minutes.

I will try and update this report as often as possible, with as many pictures as possible. During the day will be mostly attending the conference. I am also going to try and use periscope to show the strip at some point. Hopefully this won’t be too boring.

Landed about 10 minutes early. Tram to terminal 1 was packed. Now for the 25 minute wait for luggage. The woman next to me was old school, she had a flip phone and a handheld poker game.
