    My Trip Report

We flew out of Buffalo on March 28 on Southwest. Our flight got delayed by about a half hour but the pilot made up the time in the air and we still arrived on time. It was great to step out the door and feel the 90 degree heat after such a brutal winter in the northeast. Got a cab and head to the Orleans for the first 2 nights. Got our '[room on the 3rd floor and headed down to the casino for a little gambling. Got 3 4oak's the first night and ended up about 50 bucks ahead.

Got up early Sunday. My body was on east coast time so I started stirring about 5 but stayed in bed until 7. I usually get up and shower and head down to the casino and my wife will sleep for a while and come down later. Started off playing ddb for quarters near the hotel lobby. No luck there so I moved over by the alligator bar and started playing for .50 ddb. After about 10 minutes I got dealt a royal in spades for 2k. I took a picture and sent it to my wife and of course she came right down. I had only had 1 other royal in Vegas and that was a few years ago at the Sahara.

Monday was moving day. We were moving to Harrahs for the rest of the week. When we got there we were offered an upgrade to an executive suite for $57 a night so we took it. It was a very nice suite on the top floor over looking the High Roller. It had a large bedroom and living room plus a bathroom with a hot tub and seperate shower. My wife loved the room. Happy wife , happy life!

We played a lot at Harrahs during the week but couldn't win a thing. It was the same at all the strip properties that we visited. I did have a couple nice hits at the Mirage on a buffalo stampede machine and on a willy wonka machine. I also hit aces w/o kicker at casino royale but that was about it for the week.

Tuesday was our downtown coupon run day. Every year we take an afternoon and just go downtown and use our freeplay coupons. We usually do pretty well with them and this year was no exception. Went to 4 queens first and we won about $70 between us. Next we went to Binions and got another 60. After that we headed to El Cortez and I got aces w/kicker for 500 so we ended up with $630 from 3 $10 freeplays. We also visited the container park for the first time.

On Wednesday we went to see Jeff Dunham at Planet Hollywood. We had great seats in the third row and enjoyed the show very much.

Thursday started off with brunch at the Bellagio compliments of myvegas then off to the indoor garden for photo ops. We spent the day wandering, shopping and playing a little here and there. Thursday night we shuttled over to Gold Coast for the buffet. After dinner we played a little and lightening struck again. I got my second royal of the trip for another $1000. We were both getting tired at this point and decided we were going to head back but first my wife had to use the restroom. I can't sit still and not play so I threw a 20 in a machine to try triple double bonus. I got dealt a pair of 2's, held them and hit draw. I got the other 2 dueces plus the kicker for another $500. So glad my wife had to go to the bathroom!

Most of our last day there was spent shopping and just looking around. We had alot of reward credits to spend thanks to social rewards plus alot of points to use at the Orleans. I think my wife ended up with about 8 shirts, a jacket, a bottle of tequila, a frying pan, and a few bracelets all payed for with points. Needed another bag to get it all home.

It was a great trip. Both of us came home with more money then we went with. Hated to come home to snow on Easter sunday. Now its time to plan the next trip!
Thanks for reading. Hope it wasn't to boring.

Thanks for the report...not boring at all!
Was the container park worth it?
Also, how'd you get all the downtown freeplays?

My wife enjoyed the container park. It is just down the street from El Cortez. Freeplays are in the Las Vegas advisor coupon book.

Nice wins! I honestly don't know anything about slots, but/because I was told to avoid them. Seems like you and others actually do well playing slots!
