First two nights of trip for DW and I will be at Cosmo in one week (finally!). Hopefully you guys can save me a little time on the first day by pointing me in the right direction. We arrive Sunday about noon...

Where are the best bartop VP machines for drink service and entertainment? Looks like they have lots of bars... Normally play .25 or .50 denominations at max bet.

Where are the best VP pay tables on the casino floor?

Do they have video blackjack? What are the rules and mins?

Any chance they'll have $5 or $10 min roulette on Sun or Mon?

Best slots on the casino floor? Also, If we are doing well may try some HL slots - any tips besides trying Cleo2?

Do you think we'll have any issues checking in around noon on a Sunday? We booked Terrace Studio Fountain View... East tower or west tower matter?

    Thanks in advance!

Staying at Cosmo twice but don't know too much of good slots or vp machines, but you will get good experience at the check in counter . They have girls offers free bottler of water and alot of counter open so there will not be along line to wait.

If you check in at noon, you might get the room an ask for the East Tower that the strip side and the elevator is next to the casino floor.

Good luck , have fun and enjoy your trip....

The lowest minimum I have seen at roulette is $10 and usually I see $15. I guess there could be a $5 minimum on a weekday morning (I have seen it at craps there), but I have never seen it

I've never seen $5 roulette, usually you can get $10 during the day and early evening with $15 being common.

The VP pay tables at the bars aren't great but it's offset by awesome comp drinks. Bond, Chandllier, Queue and Book & Stage all have bar top units. Don't be afraid to order a specialty cocktail as they'll comp it for 25c max coin. Put at least $20 to get started. On the floor there is a 100 play machine that has pretty good pay tables. Hit my first royal on it but it was on pennies. You don't have to play all 100 hands, I was playing 20 hands at 5c each when I royal flushed it. Check out vpfree2.com

I'm usually able to check in early without issue. If your room isn't ready they'll get your cell number and text/call when it's ready. I prefer east tower, it's smaller, closer to the strip.

Also just a reminder to charge all restaurants, bars, spa, etc to the room (with your Identity number attached). Cosmo rewards hotel spending very very well.

Play some VP at Queue Bar, with any luck Nicole will be working. You're welcome. You will understand that once you see her.

In seriousness tho, I agree completely with BayouBengal - the pay tables are nothing to write home about but the cocktails at all the Cosmo bars are awesome and comped without issue as long as you put in a $20 and play 5 credits fairly consistently. You can ask any bartender to get creative for you, just tell them what kinds of things you like and they'll take it from there. I can spend hours playing VP at the Cosmo bars.

They have $5 Roulette on the automated machines. On the floor they have 7/5 Double STP at quarter level. I was too stupid to find them though! :poke:

They had the hologram video BJ but those disappeared I did not see anymore, but did not look for em either.

I stayed both east and west towers. Both are good views. Get the highest floor possible. Later I can post pictures of views from west and east high floors so you can decide for yourself.

when playing at the level and considering the price of the drinks...are you further ahead to just buy a drink if you are just passing through? Or are you better off to toss in a $20 and order a drink right away?

Do you mean hit and run to get the drink? If so the bartender I had at Chandelier reminded my friend they must be max betting to get the drinks, so it may work one. They did give the drink right away though, but it was not one of the fancy cocktails.

If you are just passing through, I guess buying the drink makes more sense, however if there is any chance you'll be around long enough for 2, it makes more sense to play. Their cocktails range from $10-$18 or so easily, so for me it's better to play a $20, have two or more drinks and at least a chance of winning something as well.

Thanks Wanker! They both look superb! I will ask for east tower when I get there but no problem if we end up in West.

Thanks to everyone else for all the tips as well!

If you want or need two beds you will have to do west tower only... west tower is closer valet and lobby...east is in the middle of casino floor.

East is where the boulevard pool is so no walking through casino or shopping areas in swim gear....

I hit and run the Chandelier Bar last trip twice in an hour for two Lagunitas Maximii (I'm guessing that's the plural of Maximus). I played 6/5 Bonus standing up for maybe 2 min. each time before getting served. They were probably too busy to care as long as they got a tip. Cosmo was pretty packed that Saturday night.

If it's a one off thing, hitting and running will only add a few minutes and likely save a boatload of money.
