So I was in Vegas a few weeks ago then I was I in Shreveport and when I get home I notice a big amount of my Rewards credits is missing?? WTF.

I called the Horseshoe in Bossier City and they did not take any away. I call Total rewards and get the big run around that it will take a few days to run a report to see where it went and they can not tell me.

This is what is really messed up. I had to bother my Host got this worked out. Looks like someone took my Diamond card and charged some cigars at Caesar's palace on Sunday and I was in Shreveport on Friday and Saturday. Bad part is I've been know to fly from one property to the next overnight so that is something I do, but not this time since I'm home in Dallas.

I will have to say Calling CET's Total rewards was a complete waste of time. They was useless. Calling any number was a waste of time.

I only got an answer by calling my Casino Host. These host really earn their money with Crybabies like me.

I feel so bad to call about a small thing like this but I could not get anyone to tell me where my reward points went. Lucky I have two very good Host in Horseshoe Bossier City and at Caesar's Las Vegas.

I can see why they give me the brush off sometimes. :soapbox:

Sorry just had to vent and really getting tired of the cut backs at CET that they are getting rude and not helpful.

On a side note I had to call 911 last night and get a ambulance to take my sister in law to the hospital to the ER then get her transferred to her hospital to get readmitted so I was just a little cranky from lack of sleep.

So what is the best way to get this fixed in the future without calling my host for something small???

I would say it depends on a couple of things:

1)The amount of the discrepancy. For less than $50.00, I would have let CET handle it
2)For $50 or more, I would have called my (a) host. That is what they're supposed to be earning their money doing.

What I don't get is how someone could "Use" your diamond card to charge anything. Sounds like a security breach to me . . .

Maybe an inside job? Someone thinking that a Diamond level member wouldn't miss a few RCs?

    Just my .02

Hope your sister in law is ok.

As for your RC's just be lucky you have a host. I have noticed with CET and MGM their customer service for things like this is awful.

I know it's a hassle showing ID when using RC's or EC's but it keeps these situations to a minimum. My last trip twice I was not asked for my ID when using RC's at a couple bars. Looks like they need to send out a TPS report to employees to check ID for redeeming RC's.

I am surprised they didn't check ID at the Cigar Store. I just got back from Vegas and every place I went - they asked to see my ID when I presented my TR card.

Something similar happened to me a couple of years ago on September 30- Oct 3 . I was actually at Caesar's Windsor and had not used any RC's but that morning (Oct 1) after arrival - I was missing about $50 worth of RC's. I went to TR and the supervisor said that she would do some checking. It took her a couple of days and she finally found out that it had come from Harrah's Reno. We were there the previous July and charged two buffets to room and the host said they would be comped. For some reason - they showed up on Oct 1 (a couple of months after the fact) The supervisor at Windsor called Reno and got it taken care of while I was there.

It did require a lot of work and most are not willing to do it. You are lucky your hosts will take care of you.

    Sorry about your sister-in-law.

Missing points... Last year's trip to Vegas with husband's boss and wife. At checkout, knew I had enough points to cover everything not comped. Ask if they can charge $200 to my CC. Umm why? Turns out they somehow billed their massages to me even though we were booked separately, so separately there should have been no possible way for this to happen. Not even the same hotel!

Had to fight TR through several email exchanges and finally the boss' host got involved and cleaned it up. No apologies, nothing.

Still with CET. Will be using points at time of payment to keep better track.

And every time I have used my card, ID has been required. No exceptions. Sorry this funny business happened to you.

When I've had problems I've had a lot of luck by emailing them through the TR site. I wouldn't try to call anyone, I'm not surprised it was useless and I can only imagine how frustrating it would be.

But emailing has always worked. It may take a few days to fix the problem but at least you're not wasting time. At least a few times when I've had an issue, they fixed it and also gave me 10,000 RCs ($100) as an apology.

I agree with others by the way, I'm surprised that cigar shop didn't ask for ID. Whenever I use my RCs to pay for something they ask for ID (as they should). Its easy to find lost TR cards in the casinos so it would be a real problem if anyone can just use the RCs on them.

Host just called me back and the cigeraette Girl back in March 7th charged me for the smokes I picked up at the table. That just showed up in April 12th. I was gambling $700 average for 2 shoes and they won't comp the cigs and a smokeless cig. That is totally messed up.

Ok I'm back to being mad at CET.

I have had a late charge hit my credit card multiple times....after my room charges have been cleared by my host....sometimes a month later. I've just emailed my host and been credited back on my credit card.

Have you seen what the casino charges for cigarettes?? Must be $9.00 or $10.00 a pack. 2 packs would be 1800 or 2000 RCs.

cigarettes here are $12 a pack at the casino $ right across the street...but new orleans is being forced into a no smoking ban right now

as for someone taking your card, as stated the person who swiped that card must check to make sure the name matches a picture ID...they wont do anything to whoever used your card and its a good chance in the end you will get your points back. but they can go right back to the time that card was used and go after the person who failed to check the card and make an example of him.

    Because 5000 reward credits disappeared.

I just got a comp for lunch and my host said no reward credits was used then it disappaared

I normally don't care but just saw that since I checked by points before I left and this morning it dropped. Thought the horseshoe made a mistake turned out it was Vegas.

Don't care at this point since I stop giving CET play made diamond need too much play to make 7 star.

Shifter want to hit the Beau or MGM with you and Nate one day

I sat next to a bloke at the Rio last July where the same thing happened. Crazy 4 Poker table...this chap from the UK was on a run...turned $500 into about $14k and donked it all away plus what was in his pocket and the cigarette girl had to get the pit boss to write a $12 RC slip for one pack of Marlboros for the guy. PB said it was a new accounting procedure...clearly a bad one with no PB discretion.

Harrahs Tunica screwed up my gf's RCs for $50 once because a $50 food credit wasn't applied properly by the former Paula Deen buffet. She noticed a couple of weeks later when she looked at her TR account right before we went to Vegas. It took about a week of calling various people with a couple days of calling while in Vegas to finally find an employee who thought, "It's only $50, let's put it back into her account to shut her up." Walking with her to Fashion Show mall while she was on the phone bitching at them is one my Vegas trip memories. [emoji35]

This was pre-bankruptcy, so dealing with TR has always been a pain in the ass. I'm wondering what major screwup TR did for Kickin to get an extra $100 worth for his trouble.

As for the no ID thing, one place that consistently did not check our IDs was the Tequila Bar at Bally's (RIP). But as others have said, most of the time they're good about checking ID.
