I'm in the middle of a trip that has been all losing from the beginning. Usually I can pull a win on a good number of blackjack sessions but this trip has been horrible. One of those times when even if I get dealt a rare 20 the dealer will still beat me or push. I can't win jack shit. It's bad enough to make a normally suave and sophisticated fellow such as myself start believing in conspiracies. VP hasn't been too bad, I hit a few small hand pays for 4k, 2k, and 1250 but overall I think I am down in that as well. I usually keep diligent track of things but stopped caring pretty early on this trip.

Anyway I am a bit on tilt and ready to go deep to turn this into a win. I'm looking for some of your favorite chasing strategies. I know the risks, but at this point risk all feels the same anyway. So I'm looking to hear about the rewards. I know that doesn't make a ton of sense. But I don't care. I don't want to let these motherf**kers beat me.

Drink a few glasses of xo, get pumped up. Find a bacc table where you get a good vibe. Chase. Keep the alcohol flowing but don't over do it because you won't know when to stop

    Stay positive

Being down sucks, but if you've lost cash you expected to take home and are not okay with that, might want to step back. Casinos love getting players wrapped around their axles chasing losses. Best advice is, don't.

    The luckiest strategy...not Vegas.

Down 5k in craps. Bet 5$ on the fire bet......4am. Me and another guy hit for 5k each.

    Other than that.....zilch.

    Good luck!!!!

I've been there a lot. I usually would mix up the company. If gambling alone, try to find a lucky looking group or fun table. If gambling with a group, try to go it alone.

If nothing works try changing your luck in other ways by doing weird things, go out to late night places off strip and eat etc....get a massage, hooker, whatever it takes...

Agree with Nate....it's all about timing. ....sit at a table when you don't feel like sitting....resist a table that you feel drawn toward and sit at a table that you would not normally play at....try a carney game LIR etc....

Yup, 2 choices but stop doing what's kicking your nuts in. I do all the superstitious stuff. If I'm at craps, I throw right handed. If I'm getting killed, I switch to left. Switch the drink I'm having. If I'm playing blackjack, depending on number of decks, sit out a shoe or a few hands. Try changing seats. I change casinos as well for gambling.

Was getting my ass fed to me at PH during Superbowl, walked across the street to a penny slot that caught my eye and hit it for just over $5k.

Only gamble what you can afford to as well of course, without waking up with regret or panic the next day.

I just go outside the casino for some fresh air..Harrah's AC for example out on the waterfront by the Poker room..Think things over and go back in with the vengeance like it's a new day.. I do not up the bets though that stays -just trying to recoup the down $ to start fresh again..Basically change the routine and not the $...
But if that don't work.it's dinnertime/breakfasttime and try again next day..

Some trips are losing trips...actually, more than ½ of the trips are losing trips. That's the math. If you can't accept that then you should stop gambling altogether, maybe with some help. If you do accept that you will lose many trips then take this as a losing one and cut your losses. Take $500 bucks and do non-gambling things you enjoy. Rent a car. Drive to Pahrump and Death Valley for a long day trip. Drive to Valley of Fire and back to LV via the road along Lake Mead. Visit Hoover Dam. GET OUT OF TOWN FOR A DAY. Get a hooker in Pahrump and visit the local winery. This trip was a loser, maybe the next one will be a winner.

There is nothing fun about chasing losses, and if you're not having fun you need to stop playing.

In craps,if I'm getting hammered at my normal place bets,i sometimes take my last few hundred and switch to "rack and stack".
This can be an easy and quick flame out but if the numbers come a quick comeback.
This uses a pass line with full odds and one come bet with full odds.If either hits you "stack it up on the line or come as basically a parlay.
Drag enough off the winnings to throw an any craps bet to cover you.
The numbers can add up fast.Hope for naturals coming out.
At some point start putting chips back in the rack.
Last year I went from $4K down at a table in Aria to $2K up in 25 min.
I'm not suggesting this as a normal way to play but as a change up only.
I have switched to this at shitty ,choppy tables where everyone is losing and made money.

Chasing isn't a strategy. Maybe you should just cut your losses and get drunk playing pai gow or penny slots.

If you want to "go for it," why not mix it up and play some slots with big payoff potential like the Cleo 2 machine, Buffalo Stampede, or one of the Konami slots (China Shores, China Mystery, Dragon's Law). If you're willing to go on tilt, you might as well go all-out and try to make it big on a slot. After all, you can't go from $100 to $4000 in blackjack in the matter of a couple minutes unless you're pressing and winning.

I only have three... but here they are:
    1. Find a $5 3-card poker table, buy in for $100 and play nickles until I hit a straight flush or trips. Color out right when that happens & return to blackjack.
    2. Find a UTH table & buy in for $200. Play proper strategy (see the Wizard for that). Double my buy-in or bust-out. Leave on either & return to blackjack.
    3. I always play 2-deck games. But when I'm getting beat up, I bounce from casino to casino - (easy to do downtown) - unitl I catch a winning vibe... and it always to seems to happen - eventually. When I get frustrated by losses - losses that are NOT because I've played wrong or counted wrong, but solely from negative variance - then I go to Golden Gate, find a CSM & a pretty dealer - and play mindless for an hour or two... always cheers me up, mostly due to the environment and good drink service.

I know what you mean about the cards. If you get crappy cards & lose, you tend to shrug that stuff off...after all, that happens to everyone.
It's when you're getting GOOD cards...two-card-hands...19s & 20s...and losing or pushing those 19s & 20s... now THAT is what can put you in a shitty mood... when that happens, go directly to Golden Gate... if you're gonna get beat up, it may as well be from a hot girl.

Always seem to work for me, anyway!
    Better luck, kickin...

I'd go all in with one sports bet. 50/50 chance minus the juice. If I was on tilt today it would be Wisconsin $ line. If you win you have all your money back to start donating to the tables and slots again. If you lose it sucks, but it's actually kind of calming knowing that you are done and don't have to chase anymore.

Unfortunately I don't have one to give you.

It was pure carnage the entire trip. Most of it happened early on and then it just went down further in drips. I only had one session that was a decent success. Otherwise everything I turned touched to crap. Except for slots for some reason. But that was maybe 0.001% of my play. In fact this trip based on my stats and TCs earned I played less than usual but did worse then ever.

Thanks all for the suggestions. I wished I tried some of them. As far as the things about gambling what you can afford and things like that I agree but my pain wasn't from the amount, I wouldn't play big enough for the amounts I can lose to matter in that sense. I just hate losing anything, I wish I could be the happy go-lucky type who fully expects to lose and considers it a win if they come back with anything. But even more so I hate losing so quickly, it was just a straight downhill slide. After losing and losing every session no matter what hands I made it got to the point where I wasn't even enjoying it anymore.

But hey everything was comped at the end and outside of gambling it was a fun time so that counts for something I guess :rolleyes2:

I try not to chase in card games, but I'm confident in my sports bets to chase in that. That's my go-to if I lose early and often, I'll just stick to sports which will limit my bets per day and hopefully I can hit a parlay to win some money back.

I like $10 craps, but occasionally you get the odd session where you find yourself deep in the hole several hundred and you know you don;t have the patience to keep playing long enough for things to work itself out.

So you go, I'll end the pain here one way or the other, either get it all back, or hit the loss limit for the day.

$100 on the pass line and hope for a 6 or 8. Get the 6 or 8 and then $500 odds.

I've done it three times and won twice. Either way, that's the end of the session.
