Is Venetian View room worth it?

Quick question - We will be in Vegas the first week of June and plan on 6 nights at MSS and I plan on surprising my wife with our last 2 nights at the Venetian. Is there a big difference in a regular suite and the view room? I'm probably going to book the view room since it is a special occasion, but just wondered what kind of view do you get with the regular suite? Obviously, we have never stayed there but always make it a point to visit when in Vegas, so would appreciate any advice. Thanks for the help!

One thing to remember is strip view at V/P is not the same as strip view say at Bellagio.

Due to the bend in the strip and the shape and location of the Venetian you really don't get a full strip view in any room. They will be all partial strip views mostly facing either north or south. I like the south angle because you get to see the linq wheel which lights up nice at night.

 

The upgrade is worth it. However, there are two views they sell. One is the pool, and the other is strip. Trust me that only the strip one is worth it.

What you want to ask for on checkin is a high floor, 30 or higher, and the room number should be in the three hundreds and EVEN. Do not accept 302 or 304, as they are right next to the elevator shafts and you here them squeak as they go by. The higher the 3XX even, the further you will be out in the spoke toward the strip, and the better your view will be down the strip. Ideal room for example would be something like 34324.

I was in 32302 last month and nice but noisy. A few doors down was better on my previous trips. I hope this helps and enjoy you trip.
