There should be a box office phone number on the Plaza's website that you can call and ask and book tickets through.

He was done as of last week. The Plaza's website has not been updated but he no longer performs there.

Louie might not be the hottest name in comedy these days, and isn't a legend like Rickles, but he has been a good name to have downtown. I know it would be slumming for the Rita Rudners of the world to work downtown, but I'd like to see the limited show space that is available downtown start booking entertainment of a little higher caliber. No offense to Gordie Brown, but when I heard he performed at the Nugget, my response was "Who?"

All I know about Louie Anderson is family feud and that cartoon life with Louie.

He's still alive. Just his career that died. I think he's a spokesman for butter now.

    People want to see Louie?

I thought it was a sort of punishment thing like if they catch you cheating they will smash your hands with a hammer or you have to sit through his show.

Learn something new every day I guess!!

As a comic myself, you can make fun of the dude all you want but he has been a working comic for 40+ years. Almost impossible feat. Carrot Top, too, puts asses in the seats. Which is all that matters in the business of Comedy.

Well put. To last that long I assume the material stays fresh. It is harder now to find good comics.

Yeah, but I've never seen him or ever met a human being that has.

Tickets probably comp'ed all over the place for the beached whale. Having an annoying voice, gap teeth, and being morbidly obese is not funny. I rather go see Ralphie May, who I passionately despise as a human being.

Well, since you've never seen him and somehow don't like him anyway, it must mean he's terrible. How did he keep getting paid all those years? Grow up, my friend. Ralphie May is awesome, too. Sorry you hate good comics.

Just because you're an aspiring comic, does that mean they are all good? You're support is admirable, but I disagree. And claiming Ralphie May is awesome will lose you credibility real quick. Being fat and speaking ghetto isn't exactly what I would call a strong comic persona.

FYI, who I recognize as good comics...
Favrito, Anthony Jeselnick, Joe Caparulo, Hanibal, Chappell just to name a few.

There are a lot of famous and popular comics that I don't like. It doesn't make them bad. Check Ralphie's tour schedule. He plays arenas, not clubs. And what is it with you and fat? You're anonymous on the Internet, what does that say about you?

Tosh played clubs as recently as last year. Is Ralphie more successful than him? Venue is overrated.
I just think that being an overweight comedian that uses that schtick over and over again gets old and is lazy writing. (Ie. Gabriel Inglacias, Ralphie, John Pinnette... Yes, I know he's dead)

    It's "Iglesias." That's lazy writing.
