I see numerous photos from people eating at Giadas showing the dessert they wheel up to the table.

We have eaten there twice and have yet to see any dessert cart. We are usually just given the dessert menu.

Do they wheel it out on special occasions?
Do you specially have to ask to see it?

I want to see the yummy dessert cart. What is the secret code to get them to wheel it out?

According to a yelp review, it's only brought out if you order the tasting menu.

Yep - it's with the tasting menu, which was very good. I think you get to pick 3 with it, if I recall properly. Between the two of us I think we ended up with 8 because we picked a few then our waiter came over and was like, no, they need to try these too! haha

    Thanks for the feedback.
How much was the tasting menu and it is per person or couple?
    Was it worth it?

Per person. I think it was around $300 with a few drinks for two. Was too much for us to eat, but we weren't starving either. Send you home with the tasting menu and a few recipes. Here's Here's a pic

I thought it was good - we like to do chefs choice, tasting menus, etc... try different things than we might normally select. So for us, it was worth it. We charge everything we can to the room, so sorry I don't remember exact price, but I'm pretty sure it was just over 100 each.

I was at Giada's last July solo and they rolled that monstrosity in front of me without my inquiry. Couldn't resist and appear cheap, so I HAD to get some ice cream/gelato-ish treat. Of course it was great. But, everything I had there was great.

I went there in November and I seem to remember being shown the desert cart even though I did not have the tasting menu.

I have been there twice last year. The first time was the first week they opened and we were not offered a dessert cart. However in November the dessert cart was brought to us and we also did not order off the tasting menu. The dessert was wonderful as was the dinner. Already booked our seating for August.

May have to simply ask for the cart on our next trip and see what they say.

Last August it was seemingly the only way to order dessert when we were there.
