    My Trip Report

Checked-in online and all ready to hit up Vegas for Easter. Going to try and stay in control of my gambling. Bringing only $1,700 with me and I've budgeted one trip to the ATM for $500 which I hope to not have to use. Not chasing comps this trip. Just going to try and play small and consistent with multiple small wins. Whatever money I'm up at the end will go towards betting on Mayweather. I'll be back in Vegas in 4 weeks for the big fight. Plan to have some exemplorary cocktails at Wynn, play around $400 in the $5-$10 slots, got a free ticket to Criss Angel thanks to myVegas, and a visit to Rhino should be in order. Wish me luck

OK, do you take the whole BR with you or break it into session rolls?
I never go to the ATM unless I go on tilt (which I've only done twice in 25 years, never worked out well)

I take the whole bankroll. Gone on tilt multiple times. This trip is to test myself to see if I can keep my gambling under control.

Cool! Can't wait to read about your journey (and the Wynn cocktails). Love a little realism on the VMB!

break it into sessions, leave the rest in the room safe, the walk back will give you time to cool down and let the Red Mist abate

Best of luck and I hope you will give us the complete story and your decision making process no matter what happens. I for one would find it very interesting and could learn something from it.

Since you are returning for the fight, do you think you will get better odds on Mayweather right before the fight? Or do you want to lock in some wagers now and add to them in 4 weeks?

Just heading home now. Here's what happened. Got a free upgrade to first class going. Got very tipsy on the plane while enjoying some very nice cheesecake. Won $700 in craps within the first 10 minutes. Proceeded to play and lose for the next 7 hours. Hit the ATM 4 times. Total loss of my $1,700 plus another $6,000. Person I was travelling with hit 2 hand pays in the Mirage high limit. Damn they have fine cocktails in the high limit room. Skipped the free myVegas show. Also lost in the Bellagio (like $300). Proved to myself that if I buy in for only $100-$300 I can control myself but when I buy in for over $1,000 and place bets in craps for $600 or more is when things get out of control. Also my dice control is improving significantly. Rolled a few monsters including all small with $25 on it. If I stopped then I would have been up. Vodka red bulls were my downfall. Didn't place any Mayweather bets. I'll buy it on the night of the fight. I hope to win some high rollers in Wynn some 6 figure bets rolling craps on fight night. I take tips lol. 26 days to go!

Doesn't sound like staying in control man. I thought the bankroll for this trip was 1700?

Your money and life but I assume you are posting on here for some advice as well? I would stop gambling if you set a very clear goal publicly and still can't keep to it.

Agreed. There's no such thing as "cutting back" on an addiction.

Well, I'd say that took a 180 degree turn. Good luck next month.

It actually doesn't bother me. For some reason I kind of feel happy after this trip even though I lost.

After reading a few of your threads I really think you need to step away from Vegas/Casinos/Gambling. Pay off your debt and get a handle on your gambling. Find a new hobby of some sort, a significant other or anything that doesn't involve gambling. Good luck to you Alex as me and others here really seem to care about you.

+1, I know it does not matter what internet strangers say to you, but I hope like hell you have a good family structure or close non-gaming friends to assist you. This was painful to read.

Like Ken said, I really hope this is just a joke...if not I hope you as much help as you can.

I for one appreciate your honesty! And don't let most of these folks fool you, everyone has gone past their limits while gambling. Everyone. All these guys who act like they are the model for discipline are lying to themselves and others. We all troll this board for a fix. Good luck with your internal battle, I get it.
