Decided impromptu to use my first comp room at the Borg this Sat since I was formerly a Harrah's resident lol. Any inside info on their hotel/casino? (Best places to eat- it's just me, whether the $20 trick works for upgrades on a Sat, if the Water Club is that much better than the Borg and what to expect if I'm angling for an upgrade via the 20 dollar sandwich, etc)

Rolling in at around 3-4 Sat afternoon. Not sure if anyone will be there but if so holler at me!

Borgata rooms are very nice. We usually get a room in the Water Club but I'm perfectly happy staying in the main tower. Don't know if the $20 trick works anywhere in AC but it can't hurt to try. Buffet there is good, the coffee shop is good but often slow; I know there are a few upscale restaurants but, since we always eat at the buffet, I can't advise you about the others. I think you'll enjoy your stay no matter what room you get. If you're a pool person, there are nice indoor and outdoor pools in the water Club tower-no kids allowed-but I think you can only use that pool if you're staying there.I'm sure the outdoor pool won't be open yet.

The water club is suppose to be more boutiquey. The best thing is the indoor pool that is only for guests + shorter lines at the front desk. It's also much closer to the poker room if that's your thing at all.

I am heading there in a few weeks after a 3 year absence (somehow still get comped rooms any day of the week after 3 years) for a wedding in ac.

It's worked a good bit for me at Harrah's (actually $10 has worked a lot lol). I've played in the casino and it's just so much more opulent which is why I'm drawn there I suppose. I think I'll try the buffet now that you mention it. Do they charge a separate fee for the pool or is it free for hotel guests?

I play just blackjack (50-100 per hand) so my time gambling will be just there. I'll try to get into the Water Club but it sounds like the Borgata rooms are also not bad. Thanks for the help guys!

There is also the nice food court downstairs between the Racebook and (Poker room ..Nice bathroom in the back if you get lost looking for the regular ones) for a quick bite or take-out..And after the West Coast racing is over and the Harness tracks are playing you may find a seat at the bar there..Drink tickets for small bets are given out and it's a nice quiet hideaway bar so to speak..
That is if you need a break from the table play and a drink and place to relax to take pictures of all the chips you have to show the board.
    Hit the B hard Landry!!

Definitely get the Water Club if you can. It's well worth it. Also, go to the High Roller slot area and speak to a host about comping room charges and room rate before you leave. It works every time for me.

I'll be there Wed, Thurs, Fri next week. My last AC trip before Vegas baby!..............maybe:ssst:

    Good luck,

When you booked did you check whether the Water Club was available? The Water Club tends to be quieter than the Borgata, but since they renovated all of the rooms on the Borgata side, the basic rooms there are newer and more refreshed. The Water Club and the Borgata have two different check in areas, and sometimes you may have trouble checking into one from the other.

The $20 trick definitely won't work on a Saturday night at Borgata. I'm black label and they are getting stingy with their suite comps. I personally like to stay at the Borgata. (closer to the casino) Last 2 times we were there we ate at the Italian restaurant. It was great. Good luck!

Yeah the only comp offered this Sat was for the 1 king non smoking. The three options I had in May , when I'm also going lol, were for the Fiore suite and the "club room" which I'm assuming the later was for the Water Club.

Really appreciate the good wishes guys, hopefully I can finally win some there. The place reminds me of an actual Vegas casino, just such an energy to it.

U should try out old homestead! I wouldn't use the $20 trick, I've stayed in the rooms/suites in both water club and borgata and they are all very nice.

Here! Gosh this place is so much nicer than Harrahs. The energy even at 5pm is awesome. Going to
Explore with a beverage and then that steak place you guys recommended. Excited, hope this time I win some haha
