I have been there many times and it's a nice break from gambling. At night you can watch the fire breathing praying mantis.

On the second floor is Jinju Chocolates an award winning Chocolatiere.

Downstairs there are a variety of shops. A toy store in the back, a beef jerky store on the front and opposite side.

I read somewhere about the western casino bar being open again? Can anyone shed any light.

It has the best tree house in LV and kids (of all ages) love it. There's also some interactive games for kids as well as huge lego-style blocks they can play with. None of these things require money. There are plenty of areas to sit and hang out. I think it's all well done and very much worth a visit.

Agreed. Also as an above poster mentioned, it's a nice break from gambling. P.S. There are a couple of slides in the treehouse of varying heights; I was too chicken to try the tallest. Check it out. It's different. It's cool. Also a good BBQ place to eat at (as of Sept of 2014).

If that't the Big Ern's BBQ, it was majorly panned in a review posted here a few weeks ago! Apparently the brisket was totally 144!

We were there last September and it was HOT! Hotter there than anywhere else, for whatever reason. That's what stands out in my mind.

It's a really nice break as everyone else has mentioned. I forget the time but it does go to adults only at some point in the evening (8 or 9pm maybe but really just a guess)? They have some nice places to get a drink and sit outside and relax. Pricing wasn't terrible...somewhere between downtown prices and strip prices for a beer.

I believe several of these businesses also have a presence in the thing outside of Bally's now as well, like the jerky store.

Thank you everyone for all the great comments. As for the adults only at night, that is correct. It’s all ages up until 9pm, at which point it becomes 21+. And yes, two of the Container Park businesses (Winky Designs and JoJo’s Jerky) are also at the Grand Bazaar Shops in front of Bally’s.

    LOL, it's faux 1980's quasi-valspeak for "gross". :)

"Like totally 144 to the max fer-sure, ya know!" :)

    12 x 12 = 144
A dozen dozen is a gross.

A gross was traditionally 12 dozen. Thus, 144. So, it's literally gross.

Maybe the OP is not aware of the American English slang use of "gross", meaning sick, morbid, disgusting, etc?

Ha! I can't believe I didn't get the 144 either - don't feel bad, I'm kind of a math nerd AND like terrible jokes and I didn't get it. However, now that I know, I will have to work it into an upcoming conversation somehow.

Maybe I'm just dating myself. I'm surprised that anybody who survived the 80s here in the states didn't hear stuff like "EEeeewwww, that's like totally 144!" and such. :)

I'm from that era and I've never heard of it either.

I'm even older and never heard it before, either. Maybe Illinois was just completely out of it.

Last time we were in Vegas, we told the cabbie we wanted to go to container park - he had no clue. The bellman tried to explain but we gave up, dropped us off at Golden Nugget or something. Never did make it...maybe next time
