Today, I remembered a spur of the moment stop on a cross country tip a few years ago. I had left Las Vegas after a 3 night stay and decided to drive route 66 through Arizona on the way home. At Seligman, I over shot the turn off for I40 and turned around in a large parking lot. I found myself looking at The Roadkill Cafe. Oh, really? I had to check it out. Now, do I want Slab of Lab, Poodles and Noodles.... Actually, they had a pretty good burger(it better have been beef:evillaugh ).

when we go to Maine or the White Mountains in NH, we often just pick a direction or route number and drive....
lots of very interesting local places and people we meet.
or we get lost in the boonies:haha:

though that is easily fixed... drive east and eventually you hit route 1
