Hey everyone, been a while since I did a major update post. I'll lay out some of the changes for TR this year and open the thread for questions. Just about everything stays the same, with some additions. BIG ONES ON THE BOTTOM.

    GOLD
-Reduced pricing at restaurants stays the same, however they are doing away with the 10% discount for retail, spa, and golf.
    -Everything else stays the same.

    PLATINUM
-All benefits stay this same, including retail discounts and ability to turn RC's into free play.

    DIAMOND
-The following stay the same: $100 celebration dinner, RC's into free play, Diamond lounge access, Priority lines, 20% discount at retail shops, VIP reservations line.
    -NEW benefits:
*15% off best available public rate on rooms and suites for additional rooms
    *15% off CET golf courses
*Guaranteed room with 72 hour notice
*Guaranteed table/cabana access with 72 hour notice

DIAMOND LEVEL 1 (40k+ tier points)
-Complimentary 4 night stay and $100 folio credit remains the same
    NEW benefits:
*4 High Roller tickets instead of 2 as part of monthly benefit
*5000 tier points will automatically be deposited beginning of 2016, so you get a head start

DIAMOND LEVEL 2 (80k+ tier points)
-Everything remains the same except for following additions:
    NEW benefits:
*5k tier points automatically applied beginning 2016
*Four happy hour high roller tix (cabin with bar during evening hours)

    SEVEN STARS (150k+ tier points)
-Everything remains the same with exception of following additions:
    NEW benefits:
*Instead of one $500 celebration dinner, you can now break it down into 5 $100 increments
*Instead of just the signature event in Las Vegas, there are now signature events in AC, NOR, LV, and Tahoe. There will no longer be signature cruises.
*Appreciation gifts are still available online, however they added a new Samsung Galaxy tablet redeemable on property.

MAJOR HIGHLIGHTS (IF YOU READ ANYTHING, READ BELOW)

-If you make Seven Stars in 2015, you start 2016 automatically at a Diamond TC level since you earn 5k tier credits in 2016 for reaching each the Dia Asp1, Asp 2, and Seven Star levels, for a total of 15k TC points deposited 1/1/16. This will make it MUCH easier for you to make the aspiration and Seven Star levels from the get-go.

-DIAMOND ASPIRATION AND SEVEN STAR TRIPS AND ANNUAL GETAWAYS AS WELL AS EXPERIENCE POINTS EARNED IN 2015 CAN NOW BE REDEEMED UP UNTIL 6/30/2016 instead of 3/31 like in previous years.

Like I said, with the exception of the above two points, not much has changed other than a few small things.

    Now open for questions...

Hunter - do seven stars players still have the deal with NCL that gives them one free (taxes only) cruise per year?

Love how they only bone gold again (10% off retail is nice...). The rest of the additions look promising though!

The new 7 star benefit of a galaxy tablet, is redemption date specific? I see an offer for the tablet that runs over several dates. Do you have to be booked in under the tablet offer? Is it a stand alone offer or can it be booked with (as an example), free play?

From what I read it is no longer an automatic benefit since they opened up other markets for seven star experience events, however I'll double check. It is still usually an offer they put out that if you come in on specified dates we give you 2 free cruise vouchers.

True, but remember the goal is to get folks to want to achieve higher tier levels, anyone can get a gold card.

Hunter - Will there still be separate lines for platinum for check-in and buffets?

Yes, pretty much all previous benefits from last year remain the same, mostly just additions this year.

    - - - Updated - - -

It reads like it is just one of your seven star annual gift options

    - - - Updated - - -

That is property specific, most do though. PH does and I believe most of our Vegas properties do.

So, to a person who is looking at becoming a new member this year with CET, it sounds like the big changes will be:

    Positives:
*discounts on additional rooms or suites (which hopefully can also be brought down further / comped off further after the stay/play)
*a (much appreciated) option to split the $500 celebration dinner voucher into five $100 dinner vouchers.
*5k tier points towards 2016 earning for earning each D1, D2, and 7*.
*extended dates to redeem annual trips and experience credits

    Negatives:
*Removal of the annual taxes only cruise benefit - especially negative because there will be no cruises offered as signature events. I hope cruise(s) will still remain possibilities for experience credit redemption.

Question: i can't tell if I'm being dense or if this was somewhat vague on purpose... If i earn 150k TC this summer, I'll have 7* status this year for sure and ill have have until June 2016 to use my trip benefits. But what will my actual status be thoughout 2016? You give me 15kTC so I'd clearly be at least diamond... I guess, bluntly, I'm asking if they have changed status to a single year term.

I cant wait to see the actual t&cs but I'm not overly alarmed at these changes. The guaranteed rooms, annual airfare, and daily tier bonuses were my biggest needs - I'm just wondering if they're quietly reducing the expiration dates on status earned.

Nothing changes with when your actual status expires. So if you make seven star this year, that status will still expire 3/31/17, so you earn it this year, are 7star next year, and it expires on 3/31 same as always. Main difference is we are giving you all an extra 3 months next year to use the benefits you use this year. And yes if you make seven star this year, you start out with diamond level tc's, but still seven star in 2016.

Trust me I know, I read through the powerpoint like 50 times before I felt confident typing this all out, lol.

Hunter never said the NCL cruise benefit was gone. I asked him, but he didn't know.

Hi Hunter, quick question. I'm platinum and reserved a room at Paris before the change over that make platinum players pay the resort fee. I was wondering if I would be grandfathered in or not. I made the reservation in May of 2014. I think the change was a few months later. I'm staying for 7 nights 5 of those comped. I'm sure you know how most of us feel about resort fees. It makes a free room not so free considering I won't use the wifi included with the fee.

    Thanks

I'm glad to see they kept the $100 dinner for Diamond level 1, I figured that might get the ax since they'll probably have a lot more Diamond 1s this year due to the 1st quarter bonus.

It should still be based on the old platinum benefits since you booked before the change. Message me your confirmation number and I'll check for you

I really do like that you have until June now to use getaway trips. I know a lot of people have been wanting that.

Breaking down the $500 celebration dinner into five $100 dinners is a fantastic idea. To use the $500 at one time, I used to have invite two other couples.

Thank you for taking the time to post this Hunter.

I have the same question as I booked our trip in May the day we returned last May. Can I e-mail you our reservation # too?

That may be true, but i'm Gold and i get comped rooms for 5 nights at a time these last few years. I was comped for 15 nights in 2014 (5 x 3). I was comped at PHO twice last year.
I'm comped at Bally's this year for 5 nights, i decided to stay an extra night for $57. So my total for 6 nights is less that $10 per.
Tier scores are non existent for me, i will never reach the next tier. But my ADT is what gets me comped rooms and heavily discounted rooms.
I am happy i am included in the "anyone" category. OH, and by the way......my $150 resort fee in June will be paid off thanks to Social Rewards i use at home.

I know you have to push as hard as you can to get people to spend more money in your casinos by getting people to purchase Visa cards and showing the perks of upgrading, but i only gamble in Caesars casinos and have these last few years..........and as a Gold card holder who spends all my bankroll at CET, i, and i'm sure many others, feel disrespected by saying "anyone" can get a Gold card.

Don't you get a gold card when you sign up? So isn't it correct to say that anyone can get one?
