Cosmo Comps!!! What machines should I play to maximize coin thru

I am attempting to maximize my comps and earn as many points as possible at cosmo. I have a 3500 dollar bankroll and plan to play slots.(I love slots) I ussually play some table games but craps limits and my inability to temper my bets do not allow me to play table games. Any recommendations for slots at Cosmo that give you a lot of action? I hope to possibly get a w-2 as I have had only one in the last 5 years.

 

It's not specific to Cosmo but if I were trying to maximize coin in it means I want to also minimize variance. So I'd avoid the big progressives like mega bucks, wheel of fortune, etc... If you like 3 reel style machines there's plenty just across from Book And Stage.

 

$1 Blazing 7's and Quick Hits are my choice for lots of play for your money. While not normal, this hit was from an initial $20 investment...



It was one of the $1 Quick Hits between the electronic Craps thingy and the Craps tables. I had gotten a lot of play out of that $20 before finally hitting the handpay.

 

I would think a 5X 10X quick hits machine would be a bad slot choice for variance. Games like "Red, White, and Blue" where 3 blanks counts as a "push" would be a much lower variance slot game. But I doubt cosmo has that. Hell, I can't even remember the last casino where I saw a game where 3 blanks pushed...:evillaugh

For VP I can answer the question easily, 98.91% Deuces Wild 100-play for 5 pennies per line. One machine you can play as little as one line, the other machine near Book and Stage, you have to bet a minimum of $1 (i.e. 20 lines at 5 pennies each). With OPs bankroll though, I would be playing all 100 lines for 5 pennies each.

 

I don't remember the last slot I played that pushed on blanks either. The Blazing 7's pays back 2 credits on blanks, which isn't terrible.

Shifter- You are 100 percent right. I have had like 1 hand pay in 5 years. I have lost insane amounts of money. I have had only 2-3 big winning sessions at craps and 1-2 at BJ. I have gambled tons all over the country. Even if you take that I play super aggresive craps I should get lucky more than I do. As for slots I bet anywhere from .40 cents to 50 dollars. The 50 dollars is rare but more likely 3-4 doldlars. I put say 1k thru the 5 dollar machines each trip. I am so jealous of the people who get handpays every once in awhile. The other day I stopped at Harrahs in Indiana and played some high limit slot sand lost 1600. My biggest win better from 9-20 dollars was 175 on the top dollar. One day One day. I am waiting to hit it big

 

Look for a 3 reel Double Diamond machine with a low pay table like 800/1600 for the top payout. That's going to have the lowest volatility. If you can find one where the payout for 2 coins is only slightly higher, like 800/2,000, that's almost as good (you really should play 2 coins in that situation, but it won;t kill you to only play 1).



There was a machine like that at Cosmo near the cage (the picture above was from Caesars). I found another one that wasn't too bad, a Triple Diamond in the middle section of the casino near the Wonka machines. At the $1 level, this was a 1,000/2,500 pay table (I was playing $2 x 2 coins):

I got depressed just reading about your luck, or lack thereof. Winning is what makes it fun for me.

 

Since you like machine play, consider learning correct video poker strategy to decrease your loses and increase your coin through and comps.

Cosmo has one of the best programs in terms of points for VP vs. Slots, and they have 9/6 JOB in the high limit room ($0.25 or $0.50 with $25 and $12.50 minimum spins, respectively).

The only strategy to increase coin in for slots is to play at the highest denominations you can afford with the best payback percentages. Usually the penny games with heavy licensing fees have the lowest payback percentages. The "boring" diamond and other reel slots which the casinos own the machine usually will have better payback percentages.
