A Very Humbling Friday to Everyone!

So, it is my son’s 10th ‘B’ Day this weekend and sometimes for the heck of it I’ll pick him up from school for lunch and spend some quality Dad & son time together (especially for the B-Day!), albeit a little less than 1 hour.
I pick him up at 11:05 AM, on time and he’s excited to go. I ask him if any of the other kids know it’s his birthday lunch and he says, “Oh yeah Dad, they all know”.
I’m all psyched up too as I say to him, “We can go anywhere you want for lunch", as I rattle off 4-5 places and he gives me the presumed response “McDonalds” he says.
Ok, “McDonalds it is” and we are off as quick as we can (store franchise #1 museum is 5 minutes away).
As we get to the entry he says, “Can we go through the drive through?” I say “Sure, not a problem."
(I'm figuring we will eat in the lot or a park on the way back to his school 5 minutes away)
Here it is (11:09) and we get through a fast moving lane, food in hand ready to roll. My son says ”Can we eat as we drive?”
I say, “Sure, of course we can, we can even eat in the school parking lot if you would like!”
He says “Ok, that sounds good” and we proceed to pull back into the school lot at (11:13) and begin munching away. Happy meal and a Hot Wheels (of little interest). He chugs his chocolate milk is done with his cheeseburger and 2 of his 6 piece nuggets as he passes his last few fries and apples to me (11:18)
“Ok, thanks Dad”, I’m like, “What’s the big rush? You still have 40 minutes to spend your lunch time with me.”
He says, If I don’t get back by (11:20) I’ll miss recess and getting infected... I’m in charge of infection today!”
I say, “What? What infection? He says, “No Dad, it’s a game not a medical problem, we play it at recess.”
I say “Ohhh, I see, somewhat like ‘it’, ‘tag’ or catch one catch all?
He says, “Yeah Dad, now you got it!”
I say, “Okay, you better hurry, it looks like they’re lining up to go outside and they seem to be looking for the ‘disease guy’.
He says, “ha, ha” no, I’m the infector,” he says, bye Dad, thanks for lunch!”
“Ok, luv ya,” I said, “I’ll see you when you get off the bus”. “Ok, C-Ya”, he says…
Quickest lunch I think I have ever had!
    Stay humble!
    =D
