Again these finding were done last Saturday afternoon. But unlike BJ they are not likely to change.
I am by far not nearly as knowledgeable in VP as BJ. So input from experts would be good. Plus I surveyed
Bonus Poker only. The game I play most. Not the most exciting but gives me more play per $$ for me it seems.

DTG has what I call 7/5 7 for a full house and 5 for a flush. If not noted the games pay 1/1 for jacks or better and 2/1 for 2 pair
such is the case at the furnace bar at DTG. Drink service is a 6 out of 10

The D downstairs pays 1/1 for jacks better and 1/1 for 2 pairs so I never wrote the other pay tables as I feel if you play this game you just as well
play double double poker. But like I said I am no expert.
Upstairs D had 8/5 bonus poker. This was nice to see and usually a chair can be found. I call the drink service a 6 out of 10

Fremont Front bar by pit tables. I was surprised to see 6/5 here guess that $2 corona's could get expensive Plus drink service is a 3 out of 10
On the floor I found both 6/5 and also found some 8/5. the 6/5 seemed to be on the older machines. So search out and give up on the bar

4 Queens At both the Fremont street bar and bar at the what I call back of casino paid 7/5 I say both have 7 out of 10 drink service

LVC The bar does not offer double bonus poker Drink service is 6 out of 10 The floor had 6/5 bonus poker so it is a no go for me.

Plaza The back bar by sportsbook did not have bonus poker I never inspected the front bar (sorry) I did find 8/5 on the floor

California The bar in the back by the craps tables was 7/5 and 8 out of 10 drink service

Golden Gate The bartop was the same as long bar at D 1/1 for two pairs

I forgot to look at pays at Main Street Boars head bar. But it gets a 8 out 10 for drink service

I would love to hear Main Street pay and will check the bar at El Cortez when I get a chance

Side Note: I was at Ellis Island and it was 7/5 and drink service was 9 out of 10

REMEMBER: These mainly were bartop surveys and each casino could very well have great VP in the casino area. I surveyed the
bartops as I like to relax and watch BB and bullshit with people at the bar. Also I am dumb and like to loose $20 for a $4 beer.

    Hope this helps others

IIRC, Boars Head bar either doesn't have Bonus Poker on them, or it's 7/5...

I must have been playing 7/5. I do know Friday night I was getting 2/1 for 2 pairs and it was bonus poker. Thanks for the info

I love sitting at that bar. I don't know what it is , just a neat bar top. Kinda the same at Ellis Island, not the bar so much
but that old vegas casino feel. Plus I think decent brew beers

What exactly goes into your drink service ratings?

Main thing is friendly bartenders and speed of service and just noticing my bottle empty.

For example at the Fremont , they get slammed by people who just want a beer and cocktail servers.
Not really their fault as they are understaff at that bar.

The game you found that gave 1 for 1 on two pairs was most likely Bonus Poker Deluxe. In this game you get 400 for any 4oak.

I agree I usually will play Jacks or Better or BP esp at bars. Less variance. Though if I am presented with 8/5 BP and 9/6 Jacks I have increasingly chosen BP.

Just for the record, I think that's just about a 2% house advantage. Wish I could find that back here in Ohio. Not even close, plus you have to pay for your drinks!

I'm little surprised at the 7/5 for bonus. Keep in mind I'm mostly a strip player but have plans in april to invest in downtown for a day or two. I say surprised because I can get the same thing at bellagio at their baccarat bar. Image 8/5 on the floor at most places downtown......

In any case, many thanks for that summary Tominiowa

At the D long Bar it was indeed 1 fer 1 on 2 pair and identical all the way up pay scale to others plain bonus poker which gave 2 fer 1 fer doubles. Hopefully someone can check it
out. I have been known to be wrong but am 80% sure I am right

I'm 99% sure it was Bonus Poker Deluxe (and at 8/5, it was actually terrible for it)
The only version of Bonus Poker that pays 1 for 2-pair pays like 10/5 for Fullhouse/Flush

Yes it did pay extra for fullhouse. I think it was bonus poker you mentioned last. same at Golden Gate But your 99% is higher
than my 80% sure so maybe I can't read. Next time that way I will check and see to verify.

Most VP questions are answered at http://www.vpfree2.com/ , aka VP Free.

Ohio casinos do offer some VP with less than a 2% house advantage, but of course without comped drinks.

The long bar at the D did offer 8/5/4/3/1/1 Bonus (86.31%) at one point and still might be? It was reported on VPFree2 in Mar. 2012. I can't find the link to back it up right now, but I also think it is the lowest payback IGT lets you set any VP game as I saw on an older game king media sheet. But the 10/8/5/3/1/1 Bonus (94.18%) is another aberration that I find more often that I would like.

I never got around to the D personally to check, all my info is from VPFree2 there unfortunately. Boner Deluxe is the best game at the Long Bar, 8/6 (98.49%) according to them.

Yep, Fremont was pretty slammed the one time I went to the bar. I played a lot more crappy 6/5 Bonus than I wanted to before getting my beer and scurrying off to the 99.95% Pick 'em.

And thanks for reporting these tom! I'll add the ones my list that are missing. Assuming these are quarter level right?

The El Cortez has 8/5 Bonus Poker at the 2 casino bars all the way down to a quarter. If you want to play at the Parlour Bar, which is a nicer bar and has a couple of really cool long-time bartenders, you have to play 50 cents to get 8/5. I only drink beer, but the Parlour Bar has some nice craft brews in bottles they will comp you. I don't think they have them at the casino bars, although they do have the Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA on tap at the casino bars as well.
