I realize that I "pushed" hard to get Diamond level before my 4/5 trip, but other than after 3/31 I wouldn't get bonus credits, I was thinking that maybe I should have waited until after 3/31 to make it.

Would there have been any difference in the 2016 rollover date?

No. If you reach a tier on any day in 2015, it's good until 3/31/2017.

Why they use 3/31, I have no idea.

Okay, I am getting slow, but... after reading this 3 times I am not sure of what the question or issue is. Why would waiting UNTIL after 3/31 be better?

You earn tier from Jan - Dec. Your highest level reached is good for
1 - the rest of the current year, through Dec
    and
2 - All of the following year
    and
3 - The first three months of the next year

On January 1st, the numbers reset and you start building again.

No advantage to waiting until after March 31st.

March 31st 2015 is the last date that you may use many benefits that you earned in the previous year.
An example would be that if you earned 80,000 tier points in November of 2014 for your Diamond aspirations trip for 2014. However, it still means that you qualified for a 2015 trip. It's their fiscal year for execution of awards, for the most part, there are a few that would let you still make reservations by that date. I hope that makes sense.

If you earned 80,000 tier credits in 2014, you have a Diamond aspirations trip to use by March 31, 2015. You do not get an additional trip after March 31, 2015 (based on what you earned in 2014). Seven Stars works like that, but not Diamond. Any Diamond benefits you earned in 2014, have to be used by March 31, 2015.

If you made 7 Stars in November 2014(for the first time), you have all the 7 Stars benefits to use by March 31, 2015. You also have all 7 Stars benefits to use in 2015, regardless of whether or not you earned anymore tier credits in 2015.

Thanks for all of the answers. This is my first year pursuing CET Diamond and wasn't sure of all of the nuances.

With mLife you get whatever's left of the year (Through 9/30) plus the entire next year.

    I now understand the difference.

For you, since you earned Diamond in 2015, you have all the benefits until March 31, 2017.

They are both pretty much the same. CET adds the 3 months. Not a big deal.

I'm pretty sure you get Diamond through March of 2017, if you earned it in 2015. At least thats how it always used to work. Have they recently changed this?

It should be through March 2017. Qualifying in 2014 gave diamond through March 2016.

    Yes.

You get your level for the rest of the CURRENT year (could be a month, or almost all year)
    Then a FULL YEAR.
plus the 3 months the next year.

So I made Diampnd before my Oct 2104 trip; I assumed the date of March 2015 on my card meant I had expired at the end of this month and since I wasnt going back until June, I would fall back out of Daimond. Since I am new to any status other than a base level, I can assume I will still have Daimond club access at the minimum when I go in June, but no other bene's?

(I dont want to be embarressed to show an expired card)

You're good until March 2016. Ie. Resort fees not auto added, 2 free show tickets a month etc.

There is that bonus opportunity with CET to get a 50% Tier Credit boost on all play in 2015 through 3/31. Not sure if this was part of the subject in question or not.

You may be right, but this is what it says on Caesars website in the Overview section where Diamond Aspirations is highlighted Learn More:

I'm not sure where you're going with this. Your copied text is in essence what I posted. My post was specifically about Diamond Aspirations and the deadline to use the benefits. You would still have all the regular Diamond benefits to use (example, Diamond lounge) until March 2016.

Okay... CET does something strange, and has for years.

Cards all expire every March. Even if you made your level in December.

But, MEMBERSHIP follows rules posted earlier.

Again, the CARD will show an expiration date and it does not always match the MEMBERSHIP date.

As to getting a Diamond show on the last day or the month and again on the first day of the next month. Yep, you can do that.

Damn, and I always thought March 31st was the day they CET progammed all the slots to pay back the money you lost in the previous calendar year

So, do I need to pick up a new card on arrival?

Where do I find a list of shows available?
