Hi all, I have been enjoying the board for several months, but never have posted. I just got back from four days in the desert, and am going back next month.

I decided to go back to V/P as home base after a string of trips to MGM properties. After realizing MLife Gold gets virtually nothing, I am going back to Grazie. I must say though, after much preparation for these two trips, I was very disappointed to see the pay schedules on JoB in the two casinos. I was of course knew better than to look for full pay, but 7/5 and 6/5 appeared next to each other, and seem to be 96 and 95% respectively.

So, I would like some feedback. Would you consider playing the 7/5 with low returns and earn higher Grazie tier, or say screw it, and head downtown for better schedules. What I like about Grazie is the higher multiplier on room charges, as I usually get more points from room charges than gaming. It would be easier to maintain Gold tier with $1,000 in charges at a 20 multiplier each year. Even though I am taking the worst of it on the schedule, shouldn't I factor in potential room offers as well? I find myself headed to the desert about three times a year.

    Thanks,

    Brandon in New Orleans

We never go to Vegas to turn a profit, so that's not an issue for us. We love V/P for everything else they offer, and as mentioned, the excellent multiplier on room charges. Unless you are living at the casino and playing video poker 12 hours a day, the slight drop in pay schedules won't even be noticeable on any given trip.

Hi Brandon, welcome aboard. I have to agree with ardee, don't think the pay schedules would be that much of an issue. Maybe split your time half downtown and half Venetian. Either way, good luck on the trip.
