Last night was my last night of 13 in Vegas at the Monte Carlo and I had been planning on stopping in to see a host about back end comps. I had generated about 260,000 tier credits with my stay, most from pounding away at the slots. However, after walking all day - I went for one last visit to the Riviera - I fell asleep. When I checked out I asked the desk clerk to call a host as I didn't really have time to stop in and get into a conversation. It only took five minutes and he took over $1500 off my bill! I ended up paying only for two room nights and a couple meals. I still have all my express comps. You don't get if you don't ask! Glad I did! Hope to write a TR when I get a chance. Lots of slot porn!
Awesome! I'm certainly going to start asking... so thankful to have found this message board! Thanks for sharing
We switched from CET to Mlife properties a few years ago. MC IMO gave us the best backend comps. NYNY the worst so far. That's a lot of points! Good for you, hoping to read your report soon.
At Flamingo I asked the desk for this and they said they would not call until I used all my reward credits.
That was one of the reasons, there were many others, I gave up on CET in 2012. I would build up significant reward credits, use the video check out, get home and find out they automatically applied the credits to my bill! This happened a couple times at Paris. I called and there was nothing they could do they said. Since I travel on business the reward credits were for me, not the company. At MGM I've not had a problem. Count me as a CET hater. I won't play at any of their casinos. I did eat at Harrahs Oyster Bar this trip, usually a fantastic meal but this time so so.
Blacklabbermike: Ware? Born there! If you can figure out what street used to be called Piggy Lane you'll know the neighborhood.
know it well.... i lived on castle street for a while and walked through piggly lane to get to my office on main st. not exactly park place j/k hell, we probably know of each other.
CZRs seems very stringent on forcing you to use reward credits first. Usually my meals are taken care of this way. The one thing I really did like about my MGM stay last week was they back end comped my room and meals (only about $300 in charges as I had 2 comped nights only with resort fees anyways) but they didn't touch my express comps or free play.
any where near the apple farm? one time just after i got my license i was driving on ragged hill road and a damn cow walked out in front of me... i about shit my pants...
Good job, especially staying 2 weeks in Vegas, I would be completely dead to the world! My absolute limit, and I mean ABSOLUTE limit is 4 nights, 4.5 days. I just go too wild when I am there, and am awful at pacing myself.
