My idea would be to bring a pair of pants. LOL

Hey BeeeJay - missed you in Vegas this last trip - hope you are doing well!

I saw a dude in a hoodie at Carnevino last year. I know that's not shorts but I'd certainly rather see someone in nice shorts than jeans and a hoodie. (Of course, I don't own any Vegas steakhouses, so...:rolleyes2:)

me and my buddy wore shorts and golf shirts to the Rosewood Grille when it was on the Strip..
The guy in a tux opened the door and we asked if we were allowed in dressed as we were.... no problem

35 Steaks and Martini's in the Hard Rock is a very good steakhouse IMHO and I've eaten there many times in shorts and seen plenty of others as well. To be fair, I'm usually in there early between 5:30 pm - 7pm or so. The dressy folks tend to come quite a bit later.

The cuT. I went there last summer at about 5-6 pm. They didn't let us sit the main area. It was the lounge area right when you walk in. We had 3 guys in shorts and 2 girls wearing bikini type wear

I doubt it. Last time I ate at Sinatra (Encore) the hostess was checking out everyone's attire as they arrived. When she looked me over I asked if I was okay (I was in jeans and a button up and decent, but not terribly dressy, shoes). She said I was fine but they wouldn't allow anyone in wearing shorts. I know Sinatra isn't a steakhouse. But there are plenty of steak joints much dressier than Sinatra. So unless it's a slow night, I wouldn't count on getting in everywhere.

Not a steakhouse, but I had on a button down shirt and a pair of Dockers, but was turned away at the Foundation Room., because I was wearing Nikes

Well, consider what the cows are wearing by comparison!

That makes no sense at all.

I'm still trying to imagine why being able to wear shorts while enjoying the best steak on earth is a dealbreaker.

When we ate at SW in June, they turned away a party of 4 in front of us that were wearing shorts. Of course, they didn't have a reservation, so that might have been part of the problem also.
