For my upcoming trip I added a day and booked a (Sunday) night at the Wynn. Is club noise still an issue in the rooms? If so, what room location should I ask for at checkin to hopefully get a quiet room?

In the 7-8 times I've stayed at Wynn, I've never experienced any noise issue. In the 7-8 times I've stayed at Encore, on the other hand, I've experienced club noise (vibrating bass) 100% of the time that I've had a south facing room (but never with a north facing room).

I prefer the golf course views at Wynn and usually request a room on that side. So it is possible that those rooms are quieter. But a few trips ago, I had a strip facing room on a lowish floor and I was never bothered by noise.

Of course, YMMV. I certainly haven't stayed in every room. Make sure to ask for a quiet room at check in. They'll accommodate you if they can.

Edit: I'll add that the Encore noise - in my experience - hasn't been terrible on high floors. But it does usually make me turn on the TV at a low volume to drown it out. I can imagine that it could be very bothersome on a low south-facing floor.

It doesn't, but it's obvious this person had a hard-on for Encore very early on in at check-in and built a story around it. There are thousands of reviews to the contrary, which would indicate the property to be one of the finest in Las Vegas and that's indisputable. I agree with everything thecarve said above... I've never had an issue at Wynn, but absolutely have at Encore in south facing rooms. I've generally been on the higher floors and while noticeable, it's wasn't to level of ruining a sleep, at least for me.

Club noise? In Vegas? Vegas is filled with noise, smoke, obnoxious people, telemarketers, porn handlers, topless pools, DJ's, kids screaming, cab drivers willing to run you over, pedestrians crossing streets when the sign says "don't walk" thereby making the cab drivers innocent of any wrongful death liability, gastronomic over indulgence at the buffets, celebrity chefs over charging their customers for mediocre food, young women dancing in stiletto's till their feet swell up, dudes acting like fools when they had one too many, etc etc.
And you know why i still go to Vegas after 30 years? Because it's part of the territory. I go to Hawaii to get away from the "noise", i go to Vegas to become "part" of the noise.
Club "noise" isn't a new thing in Vegas, sure, there are more "noises" now, but Vegas is not meant to be silent. Never has, never will. Vegas used to have headliners doing shows past 2 am, you think Sammy, Frank, or Redd would give a crap about waking up guests in their rooms? People shouldn't "sleep" in Vegas, just nap until it's OK to once again do things your mother told you not to do.
I sleep like a log in Vegas. "Noise" doesn't affect me one iota because i expect "noise" in Vegas. Once Vegas has no "noise", it's means the drought has finally succumb Vegas into obscurity, until then, i expect "noise", and Vegas "noise" has given me pleasure in Sin City for all these years.
I drive through the desert for 5 hours to finally get "noise" like i've never heard before.
When i go to bed in Vegas i don't expect the club "noise" to stop once i'm tucked in. Vegas is a 24 hour town.
There a many people on Las Vegas Blvd and inside the casinos having the time of their lives at 3 am, 4 am, and 5 am, some people are just going back to their rooms while some other people are just waking up. Even construction "noises" aren't complaint free by many people. The reason why there are construction "noises" is because you guys keep going to Vegas, thereby the "noises" should be welcomed.

I live in LA, we get earthquakes every minute of the day, most you can't feel, some however, will wake you up and say WTF?! I then realize i'm still alive and then go back to sleep. Why? It's part of the territory. We just deal with it.
When i go to Vegas, i expect 24/7 tremors. Why? Because not matter what time of day it is in a 24 hour town, people are having a good time. They have a right to dance to the bass as well as i expect that i may be bothered but not enough to complain.
"Noise" in Vegas is a terrible thing to waste.

If at wynn, ask for a room facing the golf course, as far south as possible. You'll be as far as you can be from XS and on the opposite side of the building from Tryst.

I haven't had a problem w club noise, but once in a while club goers continuing the party in the room next door.

I would think North side of Encore would be a good bet for quiet.

When staying on the south side of Encore I wear foam earplugs and sleep like a savvy motherfucker.

I stayed at Wynn in November with a golf course facing room. My friend had a strip facing room and asked to be moved after the first night because of noise.

A few years ago I stayed at Encore and I got a room facing TI, it was pretty high up. I had no noise problems.

Wynn even # rooms face the golfcourse.
Encore odd # rooms face away from the strip.

I suspect that they will beef up the soundproofing when they begin their room renovations later this year.

We have stayed at both Wynn and Encore, Sun - Thu at different areas of the resorts and music and noise have never been an issue.

It was a problem during one of my stays at Encore, but the other stays, at both the Encore and Wynn, were noise-free.

I stayed at Wynn in a strip-facing corner room around the 12th-14th floor and I could hear club noise and 'cheers' below. I'd ask for a room facing the golf course next time. It was on my last night there so I didn't ask to be moved.
