Do hosts get upset when you book comp rooms through mlife rather then contacting your host? I booked a comped room for 1 night through and paying for the second night cause I'm not sure if I will be playing my norm.... Need to book another weekend in August and would like to do the same since I'm not sure if I'll be gambling my norm once again. I probably will be but I rather not have the pressure to gamble the norm incase I don't have enough time (family vacation trips). Would my host get upset? I'll be staying at my home base casino.

    not at all.

in fact they will appreciate it if you aren't planning on playing.

but at the same time, why ever feel pressure to gamble?

take whatever your host will give you and play whatever you end up playing.

I've had plenty of trips where I didn't think I'd play much for whatever reason

but still took the villa, F&B, etc upfront because it was offered.

and then I ended up having a normal trip anyway so it didn't matter.

I've had other trips where the stars just aligned and I hardly played at all.

sure my host was upset for a minute, but it is what it is.

    he got over it.

Thanks shifter for the quick reply, greatly appreciate it.

I plan on gambling just not as much.

I'm new to this host world and since I'm new to it I don't want the host to take care for me and all of the sudden see my play and drop me. He comped my feb trip and was willing to comp my June but since I wasn't sure what my gambling time/level would be I opted out of the comp and just booked through mlife.

I guess when I feel more comfortable I wouldn't make it a big problem hahahaha

I think shifter got it right. I use the mLife site to see what might be available, and if I'm going to commit to a gambling trip, I'll call my host to see what's "really available".

If not, I'll just let it go.

If I really want an NPG (No Pressure to Gamble) trip, I'll use myVegas.

If you use myVegas you still don't gamble at Mlife properties do you? And if so I assume you don't use your Mlife card. If so then they will still track your play and bring your average down if not playing your normal level.

I normally play at MGM properties 95% of the time and normally come to Vegas to gamble. But when I am bringing the wife or coming with friends then I will take a basic CET offer which is at least a free room and avoid playing at MGM properties. I am a BJ player and it doesn't take much just like 1hr with $100 average to keep the free room offers coming in from CET.

Has anyone else noticed that after using a host your mlife offers dry up? I would get offers from MGM for 3-4 nights comped plus $200-$300 resort credit. In September I wanted to stay somewhere new so I contacted a host at MB. The host set up my trips in September and January. I receive email offers from MB usually centered around a performer, event, or fight. None of which I'm interested in and the offers are less than my host gives me. However on the mlife site I have no offers from MB like I had with MGM, but I'm playing at a higher level and for a longer period of time due to being able to increase my bankroll at MB.

Can a host turn off your mlife offers so you need to book through them? I only get "gold" level discounts on the mlife website.
Or is the mlife website just crazy stupid as usual?
