We have not stayed at Caesars since 2008. I have read all of the negative criticism on these boards about the property: The size, the gambling options, the food options etc. Which probably makes sense why we were given 5 nights comped in June. We are not high rollers.

Given all of the issues with Caesars we don't mind lots of walking and plan to make the best of our stay. Comfortable beds and a great pool complex are priorities for us.

My question is which tower provides the nicest room with a comfortable bed and reasonable walk to the pools?

We have the forum tower booked and were given reasonably priced options for upgrades to other towers when I booked. I'm not sure which tower is optimal. After researching I plan on a $20+ sandwich or just paying for the upgrade at check in.

Which tower do I ask for?

    Thanks.

I stay at Caesars often and to be honest I don't understand all the criticism that it gets on this board! Yes it's not the Wynn or Aria and Bellagio, but it's a good hotel and an awesome property with so many options and amenities. It's huge but there are a lot of shortcuts everywhere and it never took me more than 5 minutes from anywhere I am in the property to the strip :)

I would try for the Augustus or Octavius towers if you want to be close to the pool area and you want the newer towers. Octavius is the newer of the two and the beds are slightly more comfortable, other than that the two towers are pretty much the same.

You won't be disappointed with the pools!!!

I still like the place. It doesn't really change much and to me that's a good thing. A Vegas classic.

I like the Augustus tower. Try to get a room with a view of the Bellagio fountains.

I never knew Caesars got criticized for its food options. I think it has some of the best restaurants on the strip. Plus you have the simpler options in the Forum Shops.

I thought Octavius was supposed to be the best tower but its been a while since I stayed there. Its a nice hotel, in the same realm as the other nice strip hotels in my opinion. Sure it has the general stank of CET on it, but otherwise its one of the best choices in Vegas.

We had not been to Caesars in a couple of years. As we walked through the Forum Casino last June we couldn't help but notice the overwhelming odor of steamed Asian Food in the morning which was not very appetizing to us.

I think the posts he is referring to spoke about the lack of cheap food options, such as food court type joints.

I love caesars and to be close to the pool you will want the Palace tower or Octavius. The Palace elevators are right at the pool entrance and the rooms are nice. Octavius is a short walk to the diamond pool entrance. Im not sure if its been changed to a regular entrance now.

No matter what tower you're in you'll have a great time.

I avoided Caesars in the past because of it's enormous size and the amount of walking but after staying there for the first time back in January, it has now become my home base in Vegas. It's without a doubt, the best of the CET properties in Vegas. It really does have it all. Great restaurants, a new food court, nightlife, shopping and one of the best pool areas on the strip. I also suggest the Augustus Tower. Rooms are nice in size, very modern & comfortable. My only negative, it you get the side that facing the Bellagio Fountains, it's a little noisy because the street traffic is right outside the window as well. We were waken up several times my sirens at night. In the future, will pass on the Fountain View and stay on the opposite side.

Any/all Caesar's fans should read "Grandissimo: The First Emperor of Las Vegas: How Jay Sarno Won a Casino Empire, Lost It, and Inspired Modern Las Vegas". Great book on how Caesars came to be. As well as Circus Circus. Hard to believe the same guy created both :)

Caesars is awesome. Try to get Augustus tower. Octavious is 2nd best. It's newer with longer walk but better pool access.

I'm staying there for the first time in April. I got a room in the Augustus tower. I'm traditionally an mLifer, but I'm giving CET a try. If I can make Diamond this weekend, I will be there as a Diamond. If not, I will make Diamond there. I am interested in looking at all the facilities, including the restaurants and (hopefully) the Diamond Lounge.

We have stayed in Augustus x2 about 4 years ago and Octavious x3 in the last 3 yrs. My DW says Octavious hands down, I prefer the shorter walk to the strip from Augustus. To each their own, but Octavious is closer to the pools. CP is great, you'll love it.

Augustus fountain view is nice. We stay there at least half the time and when we are not there we go over to eat at bacchanal and Beijing noodle #9.

Last trip we saw the new food court which looks nice and had a great meal at Mesa Grill.

Wife loves the spa and goes for a message every trip. I go to fitness center when I can get up.

As far as VP not great payout but I win as much there as anywhere.

Augustus, and Octavius were nice. Have also stayed in NOBU (also nice :)). Octavius seem far, but if you walk the back way it's not so bad.

Stayed in the Augustus tower couple of years ago for one night. Extended my Vegas trip an extra day and booked it there on a whim. Nice room with 2 queen beds. It was very spacious and modern. Only complaint was that the blanket was kind of course.

Glad I looked. I have a business trip in a few weeks & the boss wants to stay at a CET property.... we were trying to decide between Caesars & Paris. Checking it out to bring the staff over for Christmas!
