Staying at Harrah's in July. We'd like to take advantage of the opportunity to pool hop to another CET property. Which pool would be best considering size / amenities of pool and access (getting to the pool from monorail or valet parking)? Thank you for any assistance!

I've stayed at Flamingo (cool pool and gardens, but think we have to wander through resort and casino to get to it.) It seems to me that the Bally's pool is convenient to the monorail, if I remember correctly (please advise), but how is the pool? Others?

Most CET pools allow you to use other CET pools...but for a price. I think at one time it was free to go to pools not at your hotel...but not anymore.

It's free to pool-hop if you're Diamond or if you pump $10,000 through the Total Rewards credit card.

Last summer I saw security at Caesars turning away Diamond players. They were told they could access the pool only if they were 7 stars.

Oy, what is the world coming to?

OP, to answer your original question, Bally's pool isn't anything to write home about. If you're pool hopping just between CET properties I would recommend staying at Flamingo (second best CET pool) and hopping to Caesars Palace. You can either pay the cover charge or say that you're there to play blackjack at the Fortuna Pool and they have to let you in per Nevada gaming law. The only other pools I have experience with is Planet Hollywood (crowded, young twenty-something crowd getting hammered) and Paris (older, more mature clientele).

The Bally's Pool is average with an older clientele, however, it does have a deep end compared to a lot of other pools if that entices you.
I love the Rio pool, as well as the Caesars pools. It's possible that the Rio pool may let you in for free with a room card showing you staying at a CET property, maybe it has changed at the Rio, but that's what i heard. If so, just take the free shuttle from Harrah's to Rio.
But Harrah's pool does come with water, which is good.
