So I was looking for places to get comped craft beers and this seems about like one of the only places I can find? I really only like stouts and porters and this place seems to have a selection of everything. From the reviews it seems like if you are playing at the bar you can get beers $9.00 and under comped? Does anyone know if there is an exception for Platinum, Diamond, or Seven Stars?

All I can tell you is they comp Sam Smith Imperial Stout for 25c VP and that's a beautiful thing.
I'm platinum, but I saw them comping the same level of beer to folks without a card.

I have heard the bar all the way in the back at Cromwell comps some high end craft as well.

The only exception I'm aware of is how well you tip. :evillaugh Honestly though, most every bartender I've dealt with there has been great and I haven't been turned down for a choice of beer or shot yet. Had a Chimay the last time I was there, and I think those run in the $15-$20 range. Ever since it opened it has become a must stop whenever I'm in town.

You can get comped there for playing Keno, or even the simplistic slot games they put on the Game Kings. Technically they will probably want you to bet max quarters at things like VP, or a $1 a round on other games, but some bartenders may not care that much. They didn't seem to when I was there. And your TR status doesn't matter. Throw in a $20, occasionally poke at the machine, get beer. If I earned 10 Tier Credits an hour ($100 VP coin-in = 80 hands), that was a big amount for me. My main goal was the delicious beer. I was there um... about 10 hours on my last trip... and I should have made it more...lol

And I think they might have got more liberal in their comping policy like Letter_E points out. I saw another guy with some 22oz bombers that had to be pretty high for retail.

I just pasted an older menu in another thread (but selection as of Feb. is similar)...might as well copy it here. For stouts, I would assume you'd be able to get most, if not all, comped. I'm a sucker for Old Rasputin (9% abv) in the stout category.

M Resort has a great craft selection at their 32 degree bar. But it's also 9 miles south of Mandalay Bay. :(

How long do you suppose those weird beers have been sitting on the shelf waiting for some beer snobs to order them?

Glad i dont have that problem when I order my Bud that was born 3 weeks ago tops.

Excellent post and choice. Love the Westmalle Tripel offering. If they comped Trappistes Rochefort 10 (or 8) I would pull all available funds and play CET's crappy 6/5 paytables until I lost everything.

La Fin du Monde, Sierra Nevada Torpedo and the La Trappe offerings are also excellent.

Trappistes Rochefort 10 is the Kernkraft 400 of beers!!!

They do have 7/5 Triple Bonus Plus (97.67%) for now. Lol. And the menu does show "three philosophers". Under the old rules that wouldn't be comped though. But now I am guessing they might.

And interesting video, never saw that.

But the paytables are a bit rough for someone that does want to play a good amount. :(

That can be a concern for less popular ones, but like fenway said, they try not to stock a ton at a time. I want to say one of my beers this trip was a little warmer than all the others because it hadn't been in the fridge quite long enough.

Bud is my go-to when a casino doesn't offer anything craft. Get it in Tunica a lot. :(

Can you play the other games there and get comped beers? I think I saw some pics of like electronic roulette and electronic blackjack? Both are not my games of choice but for some good stouts/porters I can be persuaded to play anything.

I haven't thought about the electronic table games, which is a big reason why the place is called TAG (Totally Automated Gaming) in the first place.

I would hope you could, but you obviously need to get a server. My last night on my trip, I think one of the bartenders was checking on the rest of the gaming area as it was a slow Monday, but not positive on that.

There is also crap rule blackjack on the game kings at the bar. Blackjack is even money and no doubles or splits. I forget the number of decks, so house edge is anywhere from 4.1% to 4.6% depending on decks (less is better). But bets are cheaper than the big multiplayer units and "free" beer right? Lol

Yeah, best I have ever got from MGM is Sierra Nevada and Guinness.

Back in September, I had Lagunitas IPA at the longbar near "eye candy" and a Ninkasi "Oatis" (oatmeal stout) at Mizuya lounge at Mandalay Bay. I also had a Green Flash double stout at the aurora bar at Luxor. I was really surprised by the Oatis. It was really good to me!

Back in 2013, Monte Carlo had craft beer choices, but anything good wasn't compable. Best they would offer for "free" is Newcastle, meh. Given how their blackjack is now, I assume that policy is still in effect.

I haven't tried Aria bars lately, but I would wonder if their choices have potential...

Those craft beers have a shelf life a helluva lot longer than 3 months like your Bud does.

Odd FYI, Blue Moon NOT comped at Excaliber 03/02... So I drank Sam Adams. No problem, just thought it was weird.
