I have never rode a bus while in Vegas so I have zero information about them. I like to go to Fremont St. at least once while I'm there and am looking for a cheaper way to get there. Taking a cab from Flamingo casino cost me about 60 dollars round trip. If I was to take the bus ...what do I need to do? Please spell it out to me because I really have no idea. I would be starting out from the Flamingo and have no idea where the bus stop would be. Any info would be great...please and thank you =)

The Flamingo is pretty much right in the middle between the two nearest stops so from there you will either have to go Harrah's (past Carnival Court almost to the main entrance on The Strip) or go back to Paris (on The Strip, base of the Eiffel Tower) - the stops aren't hard to find, they'll be a couple of benches, some info stands and there'll usually be a few people sitting around waiting for the bus.

I would take SDX. It picks up in front of Paris and has about 5 stops b4 downtown. A 2 hr pass is $6 so go for the 24 hr for $8. If you take the deuce, you could almostvcwalk in the same amount of time ( approximately 15 stops)

The Deuce is the service that operates up and down the Strip stopping frequently at just about every major hotel.

The SDX (Strip to Downtown Express) runs a similar route but makes fewer stops so is a quicker option.

SDX will work for Premium Outlets South which on RTC routes is still shown by its old name of Las Vegas Outlet Center.

If you're looking to save even more. Walk to NYNY and catch the WAX bus to downtown. 30 minutes and only $2 each way. They take cash onboard. Coming back, catch it outside Binion's and get off at the Trop. The sign flashes between WAX and Westcliff Express, both are the same.

Catch it to go downtown on Tropicana just west of Las Vegas Blvd, outside NYNY. After picking it up there, it immediately heads onto I-15.

I seem to remember there were 2 buses that ran Strip/Fremont. One was the 301 and the other was the 302 I think. One was a local and the other an express. Do these still run or has that changed?

The Deuce is the ticket. Want to say $7 gets you a two day pass. Yeah, it's a bit of a longer ride, but the people-watching is first-rate.

The Deuce, like everything, has gone up in price. Here are the new prices:

    2-Hr All-Access Pass: $6.00
    24-Hr. All-Access Pass: $8.00
3-Day Full Fare All Access Pass: $20.00

From $7.00 to 8.00 for a 24 hour pass? Vs. $20.00 from Fremont to TI by cab? Lol.

The Wax that Joe mentioned is the cheapest, probably fastest and from my experience the most legroom. The SDX and Deuce can get crowded. But with the SDX and Deuce you get to see a view. Granted, the view is questionable but it's an interesting side of Vegas.

Another option is walk north to the Fashion Show Mall to catch the CX. Like the WAX, it runs hourly but is closer to the Flamingo and a little less ride time. The stop is just west of LVB on Spring Mtn\Sands.
