    Local Indian casino in Oklahoma. I've played the Quick Hits games for years and this weekend it decided to pay me back.

    On the machine next to this one, I had 7 symbols and it paid $1,000 about 2 weeks before my last Vegas trip in August which made for a nice addition to my bankroll. My gambling bankroll is typically $1,500-$2,000 for a Vegas trip so this was a good size hit for me. I've had 2 royals and a couple other $1,000+/- wins but never a hand pay. Strange thing was they took $0 out for taxes. Half going into my savings account and half going to Vegas with me in a month. Free Vegas trip!

    Great one! You should have received a W2G tax form with the $$$, you'll have to claim that income and pay taxes on it at the end of the year.

    Yep, I did. I previously lived in Iowa and had several friends hit one and they withheld federal taxes on the spot.

    And knowing me, I'll most likely be able to claim losses up to that amount to offset the taxes.

    Congrats! That's a sweet hit off of $1.50. I like that time between when you hit a handpay and when its delivered. You're just sitting there on a sure thing with no ability to lose it since the machine is locked up. Its a nice but fleeting moment.

    Haha, definitely a good moment. It took almost 30 minutes to get paid which allowed my mind to race "maybe there was a machine malfunction", "maybe they forgot about me".
