My girlfriend and I will be in town next week and I am looking to get her some spa services and am hoping someone can recommend a good discount. We will be staying at Mandalay Bay but will have a car. I'm thinking about mostly strip hotel/casino spas but am open to any suggestions.

    Thanks

The Bally's spa isn't fancy -- it is small and old school -- but I like it neverthless and sometimes get treatments there even when I am staying at Caesars and my favorite spa, Qua, is right downstairs.

EVERY day (no blackouts) Bally's has an early morning special. You get get a 50 classic massage or classic facial, if you book at either 8 or 9 am, for $99. If you are Diamond or Seven Stars you get your discount on top of that and the treatment of course includes spa access for the day. The normal price I believe is $125 or $130 and relative to other strip properties, even those are a deal. There are often monthly discounts on longer treatments. Bally's is surprisingly good about posting all of their specials on the website.

You should also be on the lookout for Groupon coupons for spa treatments at any one of a number of spas.

    Enjoy!

Added: There are also ACG coupons, I believe for 20% off, for spa treatments at Bally's and The Flamingo.

Find out which spas take SpaFinder gift cards (the spa at MB does) and then buy discount gift cards on sites like giftcardgranny.com.

Wow. I never heard of gift card granny but just checked out the site. Wow. There's potential for serious savings here, especially when you combine the discounted gift cards with store coupons, like Macy's. Thank you!

Keep an eye out on Groupon. I picked up a $50 SpaWish (aka SpaFinder) gift card for $28 about a month ago and used it at MB.

Costco quite often has the Spa gift cards too, but I haven't checked the price/savings recently to see if it's a better deal than others around.

For Gift Card Granny, I signed up for their email alerts. You can pick the specific gift cards you're looking for and get notified as soon as they're available. I avoid the eBay Auction cards as they often end up the same price (or more!) than the face value. eBay Buy it Now is a different story.

Also check Travelzoo local deals (but note their more rigid expiration periods and blackout dates - be sure you can get an appointment before buying) and AmazonLocal.com . Travelzoo offers are usually at hotels and AmazonLocal tend to be at small day spas catering to local residents. A lot of the day spas will also give you the same deal you can get on the discount sites by calling them directly or on their own websites, with the advantage of not having to pay in advance and being able to cancel or reschedule if necessary.

In my limited experience, massage therapists at hotel spas do not give massages as good as those I have received at home, and the prices are 2-4 times what you would pay at home. However the hotel spa facilities are fabulous. The Mandalay spa is one of the nicest ones that I have been to, although it has been several years since I was there. If you don't mind it, the best bang for the buck may be to get a groupon or amazon local deal for a massage at a spa in one of the local places, and buy a day pass (usually $25-35) for the spa facility. However if the interruption would interfere with your relaxation, just go with the hotel.

I like Saffron Day Spa which is a 15-20 minute
drive from the strip. Great for massage, foot treatments and you
can even get your nails and hair done! Ambience: not
so much and no steam room or spas though. Strictly
services. I did like the Reliquary at Hard Rock and they
had a mid-week special. Awesome spa and steam.
If money is no object, Aria was nice and Mandalay Bay spa was good, just
    Lots a $$$$$!
