After my November trip (4th of the year) to Vegas, I experienced something I never had before. VEGAS BURNOUT?!?! No f'ing way. How could this be? Anyone else ever have this? I've only been going to Vegas since 2006, but I've been 25 times since then. Frankly, I'm getting bored.

After winning the award for quite possibly THE dumbest thing ANYONE has EVER done in Vegas in November (don't worry, there's a trip report coming), I swore I wouldn't go back in 2015. Ok, fine. 2 trips this year, but that is IT!

I'm really not even excited. Anyone ever have this? Probably none of us degens here. ;)

We spent 2 weeks in Aruba in January, I'm giving up an Alaska trip in April to go to Vegas for a slot tourney instead, anniversary trip in July courtesy of the Bellagio's generous offer, going to hit Macau in September, 2 weeks in Europe in October, then back to Aruba in February. Until I come up with anything else. LOL

I think I have finally realized there's too much in the world to see to spend so much time in Vegas.

I go through cycles of it, especially if the gambling is bad on the last trip. Going through one now kinda. It doesn't help if the new stuff opening is not worth flying in to see. I promised myself some non Vegas trips this year. I have a few family visits to make and I would like to see someplace new to me, too. We'll see if that cleanses the palate for me.

That why I started creating my own fun things to do in Vegas, to avoid boredom.

I understand the words individually, but the sentence doesn't make any sense!

Haha you guys! I knew you all would understand! ;)

What is so funny is I hit my first royal EVER on my last trip. I wasn't even excited. It was more of a "it's about f*ing time!" feeling. It was then I think I mentally threw in the towel.

I notice all the future trip locales have casinos..:D Just an observation that Sonya and the intervention team are probably on top of and will re-arrange your Itinerary when the time comes.. Many a room at the Hotel LV you can check in but never leave..:nono:

JK Chi...Macau is always something I kid about with a Filipino lady when we play the lottery..Best wishes for your trips!

I have felt like that a few times but decided to get off the strip and try new things. Stay at the M Resort. Stay downtown. I try new restaurants/bars (not on the strip) every time I come to Vegas. Try to find out where the locals like to go and try it. New places will give you a new look on Vegas. Enjoy...

I'm going through something like that now. But, it is just a few days from our next trip and I am getting excited again. We also have a trip at the end of April-beginning of May. I hope the excitement doesn't wane for the second trip.

I actually felt burnt out from Vegas after Super Bowl weekend. I think it depends on the length of your trip, what you do and how often you go. I went for 4 nights during Super Bowl weekend and was ready to leave that morning but got delayed. It sucks when you don't want to gamble or drink anymore.

The trip before which was in November, I did not want to leave (3 nights) since I was still having a good time. Packer, his friend and I were having bloody Mary's at the b bar at Wynn before they walked me out to say good bye. I think 3 nites is perfect without getting burnt out depending where you are coming from.

We might not want to leave but we won't get burnt out if it makes sense. I said to myself that I do not want to make another trip back out there for awhile after super bowl but I'm now itching to get back out there.

Yep, I feel it is short-lived. I think I stay too long. I totally feel you.

I had a first class seat N/S back home at the end of my October trip. I didn't even want to stay that long so I did same-day-standby to get home on the earlier flight. Got econ comfort, but was not first class. That told me a lot about how much I wanted to get the fuck out of dodge! :(

Yup, giving up your 1st class seat for Econ comfort (United economy plus?) means you were ready to get home!

If they'd just move Palm or Eagle beach to Vegas, we'd be all set girlfriend. I went to Vegas 7 times last year and have decided no more than 3 times this year with the first trip not until May. I felt a bit burned out on it by the end of '14. Our Aruba trip for next year is last two weeks of January so we'll miss you by a bit. Going to try to get back to Aruba for a week in September '15.

PS....get that trip report up so we can compare dumbass moves lol

It's possible...we haven't booked yet. We have a bunch of accelerated weeks through one of my timeshares in Aruba we have to start using. First world problems eh! Last time we went in September, we arrived on the Saturday of Labour Day weekend so it may be that timeframe again. Will keep you posted.

I feel burned out with Vegas all the time, that's why I try to do different things with different people. It makes for a new experience.

Hahaha! So true! If Vegas were on Eagle Beach, I'd only have one destination to travel to FOREVER! LOL

I'm working on the trip report now. But, I was so stupid, I'm a little embarrassed to put it in print. ;)

It's Vegas....no matter what you did, someone can top it. I made a real bone headed move in Aruba this year. Thank heavens I was drunk or I'd have been more embarrassed
