Okay the upcoming launch night changes from 4Q to Downtown Grand, due to a huge rate-jack at 4Q. We'll spend some time on Fremont, but any recommendations at DTG?

You didn't mention when, but if you're there when they have their 5x points Thursday deal going (assuming they still do - they seem to change things so often), and if you're a video poker or slot player, you'll rack up so much food credit you won't be able to use it. We were playing quarter max bet 8/5 Bonus Poker and between the two of us got $85 food credit in about three hours. We thought it could only be used at the S+O Cafe, but now others are saying it's good at the Commissary and Triple George.

Thanks Marksind, after that,I really wish I were coming in on a Thursday, but we'll be arriving at 9:30pm on Saturday, 3/14. But a short walk to to Femont. Any advice on food at the DTG would be appreciated, as we'll probably be hungry when we arrive!

Pizza Rock (across the street). Have the Cal Italia. However, they close at 2:00 AM.

I like the Chicago Pizza place at 4Q, myself. Gordon Biersch? If it's still open, that is. I make a point of eating there once each trip if at all possible.

As you say, it's only a block to Freemont St. But I will try to check out Pizza Rock next trip for comparison purposes!

Pizza Rock is the best. Try the meatballs app and New Yorker pizza. The best...

Ask for a room that is not on the west side of the west tower. The west facing rooms of the west tower looks directly at the Binions parking garage. Though they have the black out curtains like most casinos over the windows, I prefer not to use them unless I have to. Without the black-out curtains closed, headlights from the parking garage shine in the room (at least the one I had on a lower floor).

As mentioned in another post - Pizza Rock is a great place for a good pizza and beer.
