This looks like a good season. Three tribes, white collar, blue collar, no collar; kind of like brains, brawn and beauty tribes from a couple of seasons ago. Hope there is another complete meltdown like the brain tribe was so kind to give us Survivor fans.

I really hope they get a handle on the plethora of hidden immunity idols.

Season starts Wednesday feb 25 in its usual time slot.

I think they had this same theme before.

    Where is the venue?

It's got to be better than the last one. I don't like the Blood vs. Water theme.

Breeze, I think it's Nicaragua again. Yep, same theme just packaged differently.

Five minutes into the season and I'm already repulsed by five of six "White Collar" tribe members......ugh. Well at least I have someone to root against before the first commercial break of the entire season.

Good show last night! My money is on the Blue Collar team to best the others.

I was sure that other lady would be the first voted out and kinda surprised when So was nixed. She was kind of obnoxious, in my not so humble opinion.

Glad to see the full of herself So get the boot. I couldn't have put up with a full season of her fake croaky voice talk.

I really hope Caroline had the totally bright idea of making a fake idol and planting back around where she found the real one. That would really be a coup.

In my opinion......great first episode of Survivor! Watching the previews, it looks like the white collar team is a hot mess. Joaquin and So should have known that they were playing with folks who have studied the game inside and out and would not believe the make up story that they heard regarding finding three options (honest, deceit, neutral). The white collar folks also were the only tribe who had not a clue how to start fire. The guy on the "no collar" team with the feathers in his hair certainly seemed stalkerish. Right now, I would predict someone from the blue collar wins..... although Dan (the obnoxious postal worker) can get voted off the island anytime soon.

One more thing.....Dan, what are you thinking wearing that speedo?

I think Feather Guy is psycho. All he wants is to get laid. I want to kick the white collar men in the nuts, especially Joaquin. They all have that smarmy, I'm smarter than you, look about them.

They must have moved them to a different beach on Nicaragua, because now there are cocoanuts.

Cochlear implant lady won't last long.

I thought it was one of the better opening shows we've seen. Featherguy = new Coach. Goatee guy(blue collar) = new Philip. Neither will make the merge. There are definitely some characters that will be polarizing. I agree, deaf lady is a gone-er as is Joaquin from Valley Stream (guy with the tie). I didn't think I'd like the free spirits, but I think they'll be pretty entertaining.

Yeah, I had that same thought about Featherguy being like Coach. They even sorta look the same.

I liked the first episode......didn't think it would be
as entertaining, as it was ?.....not sure why I thought this ?

    "So" got the deserved "boot".
    Geez, Survivor has changed ---
"So" had the longest fake eyelashes........ + eye make up on, in most shots--
Is there a "Stylist" doing make up for these contestants nowadays ?
Who needs fire or rice ?.........just look good for the camera !
    *
I'm not really "sold" on these 3 different socio-economic tribes.
The Producers even have some of these contestants brainwashed about how "different"
    each tribe is --
    Not really IMHO.
Still have the usual Survivor Formula - as far as casting goes......age,ethnicity,bad guy, bitch, good guy/gal to root for, etc.....
    *
Glad to see NO RETREADS ! .....this time........that was getting old !
    *
    Yup --
The braided / feather haired guy is psycho !....."disturbing" already, in the first episode ?
I wonder if they'll edit him differently as episodes continue ?
always good to have a psycho on the show !
    *
Who told that idiot - a scorpion was good protein ?.....to eat raw ?
    *
I thought the one who found the idol has already misplayed it -
And she should have "played it" at Council --- too close, not to have !
I did like her attitude about some things.

For a cast of that size, I'm sure there are multiple MUAs on site!

Even for a so-called reality show in a so-called "survivor" setting, there's obviously a lot of staging and editing. I'm sure multiple takes are routine.

As an aside, for an episode of another so-called reality show which was shot locally to me, a high-profile so-called impromptu fight in the parking lot of a bar was actually staged!

Mr. Featherhead definitely comes across as psycho! It was an interesting first episode. That lady better be careful or he may end up stalking her after Survivor. My vote is for the blue collar team so far. I like the Youtube guy. He should prove to be entertaining.

She seems like smart gal. I think she has him figured already. (Too soon to know name, I don't know what her name is, but she seems on the ball).

The Lady State Trooper, they barely showed her, but she seems pretty smart as well.

I think Joaquin and his gal friend Ms. So were so positive that they had the majority of votes to get Carolyn da boot. SO had the nerve to tell Carolyn she was being voted out during tribal council. Joaquin also had the nerve to mention the other tribe member names who were voting out Carolyn.

Those two tribe members should have been put in a 4th tribe named "Somewhere over the Rainbow". They both made a serious error of exposing who was voting against Carolyn. It is supposed to be a secret vote. Duh... They lost the votes and threw out SO for thinking she could just tell Carolyn that she was going home. That showed the tribe that she was not to be trusted with secret votes at tribal council. Plus, they will nolonger trust Joaquin with any secret information. He doesn't know how to play the game.
Since Joaquin is a good looking guy I am guessing his white collar job is to work as a receptionist. The office will forgive his mistakes because he is young and cute. LOL.

Tonight's tribal council took me by surprise, and turned someone I was ambivalent about into a villain for me...

By my count six people, two on each tribe, put big targets on themselves in the first 20 minutes of tonight's episode. Talk about unforced errors. You'd think that after 15 years these players would learn not to draw unsolicited negative attention to themselves.

Cool to see the mailman step up and man up.

Props to Will for not voting for Nina because she has bad hearing. Glad he survived.

    Joe, what an a-hole.

Vince, creepy dude. He was his own worst enemy. He could have gone far, IMHO, had he just laid back in the weeds.
