The Cromwell does not waive resort fees for Diamond guests like the rest of the CET properties? Bummer.

My post got pulled out of the resort fees thread and made a thread starter by a mod. It was the only CET property not listed as waiving resort fees for Diamond players. I guess that thread is just for information and not for questions/comments. Fair enough.

But have you contacted them to see if that really is the case?

We were not charged a resort fee when we stayed there in Dec.

Well that's excellent news! I will report it in the resort fees thread in approximately 16 days if that is still true as of mid-March.

The terms and conditions for the Cromwell state that the resort fee is not assessed for Diamond. It doesn't indicate an optional resort fee. Does this mean you get the benefits of the resort fee with the fee waived for diamond? The wording appears different than the other CET properties that say you can pay the resort fee if you want the benefits.

I was there a 2 weeks ago and was not charged the resort fee. When I checked in I was told I could use the internet and gym no charge. I did and was not charged.

Thats a great perk.....Thanks for the info.......I have a couple other quick questions if you don't mind..Last June when I stayed at The Cromwell, they had a very nice complimentary breakfast buffet in the sit-down area behind the center bar. I believe I read somewhere that this has been discontinued. Is it still there? Also, do they still have the 24 hr. security at the elevators? It is a pain when friends from other hotels come over.

The breakfast is gone. Security is hit or miss. Definitely for 24 hours. You need a room key to select a floor in the elevator though. The coffee in the lobby is very good, if it's there.

I thought I read somewhere that the buffet was temporary until Giada opened for breakfast. I gotta admit it was a nice touch in the morning.
