After looking at posts and the RTC website, where exactly does the WAX bus from the airport stop at the south end of the Strip? Is it the bus stop on Tropicana, across from MGM, or is it the bus stop on Las Vegas Blvd across from Excalibur? Thanks in advance for your help.

    On Tropicana.

There is one stop East of LV Bvld (i.e. "before" the Strip). It is about as far back as the MGM porte coche

Then there is one stop West of LV Blvd. That one is just after the pedestrian bridge. Roughly as far past the Strip as the NYNY porte coche

Does it pick up on the way to the airport at the exact same spots?

No, that would be going the wrong way, it stops on the south side of trop, east of the strip.

O.K., I understand now .... we are actually staying at the Tropicana, so it appears coming from the airport, of the 2 stops on Tropicana Blvd., the 2nd stop west of LVB by pedestrian bridge at NYNY would actually be closer than the first stop by MGM? Returning to airport, it would be the bus stop on Tropicana Blvd. near the back of the Tropicana, near Hooters?

Yes, on the way from the airport, the stop by NYNY would be closer to the Trop.

On the was back to the airport, it isn't nearly as far east of LV Bvld as Hooters. It is just a bit east of the pedestrian bridge that connects the Trop to MGM.

also, if you go on Google maps and zoom in far enough, there are little blue bus icons for all the bus stops. Hover over the icons and it tells you which routes stop there

Returning to the airport, the stop is basically right outside Tropicana. It's not far from the bridge across to MGM and is right in front of the Trop's parking lot.

For your return trip the best thing to do is meander over to the stop a day early so you have no doubts where it is and how long it takes to walk there.

You all have been so helpful! I'm very familiar with the LVB and Tropicana Blvd. intersection, and bus stops on the strip, just not on Tropicana Blvd. I just found out about WAX, so what a great deal for $2 each way to or from airport. Yes, Google maps was an awesome suggestion. Great great information everyone, thank you!

There is a yellow fire hydrant right in front of Tropicana Hotel, Las Vegas Blvd. The bus stop is right of it.

Just be sure to get there like 5 minutes earlier then the time says. Sometimes the WAX comes early. Most of the times its like 5 minutes late but give yourself a window of +5 and -10. just in case.
