OK, still on the fence about a trip to Reno this weekend. Help wanted.

OK, I need one more rental with Sixt to make "Platinum", so I'm renting a car with nowhere to go.

I got a free room at Harrah's Reno for Friday and Saturday nights.

I am primarily a Las Vegas mLife player, Platinum level, but I'm interested by the point promotion that CET is running.

Still, it's a 4 1/2 hour drive and there are local casinos I can go to.

However, I went up there a few month ago and the memories of the tall, blonde short skirted woman crossing the street (no, I don't know for sure that she was a hooker) while my Dad and 13 year old son were in the car, still haunts me. <G>

My son will be at my exes house this weekend and my Dad will be at home. Any opinions?

If ya got the money to gamble then go. I live in the bay area, and go to Reno a few times a year. It's a fun place with good gambling rules. I prefer Silver Legacy, but have played at Reno several times and had decent luck.

I hate to say this - mostly because I know I sound like my parents when I do - but that outfit these days signifies NOTHING. :)

I have driven through Reno on my way to Tahoe - never stopped.. so I can't probably provide the insight you're looking for.. but I can say that life is short - and you should just pick up and go for it! Reno is just the physical destination - sounds to me like you need to get away from "real" life for a few days. :drunk:

Yeah, I'm looking for an MHB (Mental Health Break) weekend. Not going to LV for another month and "desperate" for some action.

    I'm going . . . . trip report when I get back . . . .

    Thanks for the replies.

I know. She's still up there. If you read my trip report, I chickened out and left early after hitting for $10k (up$7k). She'll still be there when I go back on the 13th!!!
