    All,
My buddies and I are thinking about hitting Las Vegas for Halloween this year after I get home from the big sandbox. What's the scene and vibe like there? I know the pools will probably be closed all around town, but is it busy? Do the bigger clubs hold costume parties and whatnot? Thanks.

Halloween in Vegas is a blast, with lots of great costume watching on the Strip.
    I highly recommend it.

Highly recommend The Halloween Vegas trip. We usually stay at Harrahs and have a great time on the strip people watching.

Because Halloween falls on a Saturday this year I would expect it to be extra busy and lots of stuff going on.

For pools: Yes, most places will have their pools closed by that time of year, but there are some resorts that have heated pools they keep open all year long.

For busy: Yes, it will be busy.

For clubs: I would expect almost every club to have some kind of Halloween party going on, as well as most of the bars that can be closed off (IE: the central bar in any casino will be open, but if they have even partial walls and a doorway area they will probably be closed for a party.

For costumes: lots of people in costumes and you can expect to see just about anything. Note that casinos do have rules that you must follow regarding prop weapons and not being allowed to cover your face and things like that. Many bars and clubs will have costume contests for women (usually "Sexiest..." type costume contests). You will see the most people in costume on the Saturday night, but even the days before and a day or two after people will still be in costume.

Well if I dress up as one of these 1966 Batman goons, am I going to get the umbrella confiscated?

Because it doubles as a helicopter to get away from Batman and Robin.

As noted above, with it being on a Saturday this year, it'll be extra crazy. But it's always a special time. I think it might be my favorite time ever to go to Vegas. Highly recommended. You can't go wrong. Everything is amped up to an 11.

Yes I was there last year for halloween......as others have mentioned the strip gets packed on halloween with people wearing customs all day into night. One thing I did notice was that you did not see many people dressed up on the strip until the day of.

Naturally the clubs always have custom parties. it gives the girls a reason to wear less clothing :)
